*******SPOILER ALERT, DO NOT READ ON IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN EPISODES 125-130*******

I'm at episode 129 now, and I really do not like the timechanges after episode 124. The sudden changes and Fairy Tail being a small guild out of nowhere make me feel bad. And I can't get used to Macao's moustache...

Am I the only one?

It's "filler" and they really have become a small guild only because 95% of their strength was gone for those seven years. What did you expect from a dozen of "normal" mages?

Does this mean they will go back to 'the present' (being 7 years back)?
I just don't like the new timesetting :p

The timeskip is canon unfortunately, stupid decision on Mashima-sensei's part in my opinion. No matter how I look at it, it feels like Mashima-sensei saw that One Piece had done a timeskip, and then Bleach did a timeskip, and Naruto had a timeskip several years ago so he thought he better have a timeskip as well. It was poorly places, completely unnecessary and thus far, nothing good has come from it.

I don't like that none of the characters have really ever gotten any stronger and then they have a time skip and they are are the only ones left behind now they are going to be even more behind.

Putting the main characters aside,What I don't like is that the side-characters have become even more weaker than ever before.

The timeskip was needed to forward the Zeref plot.

they still should have trapped the main characters in some alternate space where they were able to train for seven years.

That timeskip was completely the correct call, Fairy tail is not a very adventurous type shounen manga. So once you defeat a huge antagonist that was essential to keep the plot moving what do you have next? This was the problem with bleach, they took way to long to go into a timeskip resulting in the plot dying from the lack of progression. They couldnt move the plot with just fighting because then it lacks any story at all.

If you truly believe the timeskip was a bad move then what do you suggest he do with the story after the last arc. Because i dont see how it could do anything.

wasnt bleach's time skip only like a couple months, like no time at all.

Bleach was seventeen months or 1 year and 5 months time skip, One piece was 2 years, Naruto was 2 and a half almost 3 years

About the lenght of the time skip: I think a one or two year skip should have been enough. 7 years is just overdoing it :p
It's like saying: we can do it too, and we will do it even bigger (-_-')

Well what did you expect for a filler?
The Tournament arc will be better again.
