That was pretty sad. Didn't expect that ending. I don't know what else could be left. It seems like they went over everything.

what was binding her to this world is now over.....what is left...is for her to move on like all dead people do. in case you didn't notice, she couldn't pick up that bell. her time is up....as it were.

It was kind of predictable that teichi was asa's grandson, but in a good way! This episode was amazing i wish there could be a happy ending for them both.

I agree with DuroDeMatar, she'll probably disappear, because nao she accepts all the bad feelings which kept her locked in this world in the condition of a ghost, but, thanks to Teiichi, she'll eventually be in peace, and he will marry Okonogi :D

I didnt like the first half of the episode though. He was so useless and so depressed, i dont like this type of men. Unfortunately, its the most common one it the anime industry.
And Yuuko... I liked her through the series, she seemed to be so sweet and naive, but when she decided to abandon him this image was ruined and she totally started to piss me off.
Good thing the second half was good. Yet too emotional. Especially Kirie. The way she's moving her hands like a windmill... just too much.

i'm so happy for yuuko finally being able to accept herself, both her good and bad memories.
i really didn't want yuuko and teiichi to end up having to forget each other as a way to avoid the pain; of course, their love for each other kept them strong the whole way through :)

but damn, now that yuuko's finally able to find peace with herself, is she going to have to rest in peace as well???

i REALLY want the best ending for yuuko and teiichi, especially after all the things they had to go through :/

i would really rage if they go for a bittersweet ending...

For what I'm assuming is an anime original ending, this is so good! I absolutely loved the reverse ghost twist, and it came together and concluded quite nicely. I was watching the post credits wondering what they could possibly have left to cover in the last episode, and my heart sank when the bell fell through her hands. Give me one last amazing episode, and this may very well be the first 10 to make my list in a long long while.

This is the best show of the season. Totally had me hooked from the first episode, mostly because of the fanservice. It was when she shoved him down the stairs that I knew this was going to be great. The scenes where they sort of "zoom out" the frame leaving black space all around the picture is cool too. Very minimal, less is more kind of direction. It was certainly effective when she was looming over the stairs, at the end of that one episode, and then the ending theme came in... damn.

I know I love a show when I even love the music to it. The opening song is... eh... I dunno, but the ending is sick.

Geez, that was the briefest of brief happy interludes before further drama.

Yuuko "moving on" is almost certainly the plot of the next episode, but I kind of wish it wouldn't be. Can't the guy just have his damn ghost girlfriend?

I hope not, if not Yuuko then Kirie is the way to go imo.

She's a forever-alone type to my mind.

Doesn't she resemble her grandmother tho, the grandmother obviously wasn't alone forever, besides Okonogi has that admiration vibe to her, Kirie sounds more reasonable imo.

The other two girls in his harem technically conceded the race a while ago... It'd be tough now for a relationship with either of them to not have a "consolation prize" vibe to it.

she's not going to forgive him for giving up yuuko anyway, dont you think so? even if she will, she resembles yuuko too much, that'd be too painful. i mean EVEN if he chooses her, they'll eventually break up. that makes okonogi the only reasonable option.

Looks like Yuuko will be crossing over into the afterlife next episode. Could be a real tearjerker. Oh well, if things get too tough for Teiichi he can always just have Kirie grow her hair out! XD

I don't see her not forgiving him for something out of his control like her passing on, as for the resemblance, there could be something there, as they do look alike so it would be painful, but i'm just saying its a better choice than Okonogi.Because all "what if" scenarios aside concerning their future relationship Kirie is the better fit imo.

In the case of Momoe, I'd say yes. I think she's happy enough knowing that he'll be friends with her and hasn't totally rejected her, even if he doesn't love her.

However, Kirie showed that she still has lingering feelings for him and might still be hoping that he'd eventually come to love her as he did with Yuuko. After all, she still has a bond with him, because of their families being tied to each other and I think that would make for the best ending, even if it is a little bittersweet.

Oh wow, a much better episode than the last one. The only problem I had with it was Kirie-san. She was like a bad actor, overacting in every scene which was especially irritating, since she was in a very important position. Everything she said gets a whole different meaning knowing she herself is in love with Teiichi-kun, it was a wonderful depiction of such a situation.

The resolution of Shadow Yuuko's fate was somewhat obvious from the beginning, but they did a much better job at it than Persona 4. Quality > quantity. We had time to know the character and get emotionally attached to her before the inner struggle began.

I wonder how they will close this, there are quite a lot of ways. It was a good show and I wouldn't mind seeing another season, so a cliffhanger or a no-ending is possible for paving the way for a continuation. However, it might not be as good as this season was (I gather from the posts that the canon material has already been adapted), so a closure would probably be better. What would constitute as a happy ending though? Yuuko finally moves on and reincarnates and Teiichi-kun waits for her? I don't want a sad ending. 5/5 superb episode overall.
