Clannad - well to be honest the first season isn't to sad at all but you need to watch it before you see the second one which is probably one of the saddest amines around. You could also check out Angel Beats! though it doesn't get to nearly the same level of sadness as Clannad.  Taking sig requests, just PM me. More sigs here |

Clannad After Story -probably the saddest anime you'll see. Ano Hana is good but I thought it was forced near the end. You might like it still. Hotarubi no Mori e 5 centimeters per second. Grave of the Fireflies. |

Definitely check out Clannad then Clannad After Story. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica is also pretty sad. |
