From a story posted on the Anime News Network website earlier today... In addition, Fiat has also designed a Lupin-inspired paint scheme for the Fiat Yamaha M1 motorcycle that Spanish racer Jorge Lorenzo used in the Japanese Grand Prix race of the International Motorcycling Federation's Road Racing World Championship Season on Sunday. Fiat said that its goal is to "reach out to motorbike racing fans through projects linked to the world of creativity and design so that it can communicate above all with younger members of its audience." Persoanlly, I would like to see what the bike looks like. ^_^ ANN Story Crash.net article Also in the same article, FIAT plans on launching a limited-edition run of its new Fiat Nuova 500 cars in the second half of 2009 with an image of Monkey Punch's iconic manga and anime character, the gentleman thief Lupin III. OBTW, rumors of Lupin's gang stealing the aforementioned bike to give to Valentino Rossi for him to race have been totally denied by many sources around the track including Lupin himself. :D  |
