Let me turn the chessboard around! fact.1) C.C. is a selfish woman witch. --------------------------------------- [If someone gonna argue with this fact - re-watch series until you realize. Lelouch occasionally says so several times.] [[She was ready to abandon Lelouch and his rebellion just to fulfill her Death Wish.]] fact.2) Every single known mastered-Geass bearer (mastered both eyes) except Lelouch is dead. --------------------------------------- [C.C. clearly states that Charles was the only one for the time being capable of taking 'Code' (read - immortality), which can be acquired only by mastered-Geass bearer] [[And no. Charles mastered Geass not by/after killing V.V. He was able to kill V.V. in the first place because of it.]] C.C.: In the final stage of Geass, the user attains the position of the one who granted them the power. Thus, you have gained the power to kill me. Lelouch Lamperouge: Kill you? C.C... C.C.: Of all those I have made contracts with, none has ever reached that point. But now there's Charles. He has done it. fact.3) C.C. knew every single thing about 'Zero Requiem'. --------------------------------------- [It was hinted in R2 and there was unambiguous dialogue about it in Picture Drama 22.05.] Due fact.1 C.C. will not allow the only one existing mastered-Geass bearer (fact.2) die without fulfilling either her True Wish * or Death Wish. Obviously she knew that Lelouch will be killed following 'Zero Requiem' plan due fact.3. 1+2+3 = guess what? * fact.4) to Live, not just accumulate experience **. [ 90% likely but not a fact.1) **with someone who will not perish in the flow of time ] Extra: Lelouch lives inside C.C. mind Marianne-alike Makes no sense. Why? Because: Marianne was able to 'store' inside C.C. only because of her Geass. Never in entire series there was a transfer of Geass power (if it was so - Lelouch would not kill, but rather absorb Rolo's Geass for example). p.s.: my 'Extra' could also be used with last seconds of 25 episode to strengthen this so-miscalled "implied" theory. ![]() NN-k, ssj-g, BloodR-m, Imm-b, Mon-d Random letters above are work of fiction in synergy with banned process called thinking. This has got to be the biggest face palm ending the the history of anime! He fights tyranny, wins, and what does he do next? Becomes the worst tyrant so there won't ever be another tyrant. What kind of logic is that?! If that was the plan he could have just stayed heir to the throne and would be next in line to be a tyrant. But nooooo... he had to over complicate things and live a double life as a rebel, getting all his loved ones killed in the process. Congratulations Lelouch. You've just toppled Light Yagami for the title of "Smartest Idiot". Oh how I wish I could slap the writers with a rubber chicken! |

I was expecting that Lelouch would die in the last episode. I though first he was was dead until I've read some posts of this threat. I'm just a novice Anime watcher and i need to get used to read the subtitles. So i didn't knew some parts of the story line after all. I don't really know what for score i should give for the ending but the score of R2 overall is a 9/10. ![]() |

dtshyk said: I think the best ending possible. I expected Lulu's death but the direction of the scene was great. So basically the objectives of Nunally (or Shneizel) and Lulu's plan are the same. The difference is whether the Damocres or Lulu to be the symbol of the evil. It's so sad to see Lulu intensionally made his beloved sister hate him. Even if Suzaku has mask on, I can see it from his unhuman action. Too late, Kallen, Nunally to realize what he really meant. Prime Minster Ohgi! Orange in Orange field! lol FTW! I concluded Code Geass R2 is worth purchasing the DVD. I already placed order for vol.1 & 2. What we can get from the wedding picture. Ohgi x Viletta Toudou x Chiba Guilford x Cornellia Xingke is gone... Reval x Mirey is not certain. Lloyd x Cecile? I'm not sure... Xing Ke is gone? What're you talking about? He's right there in the photo, top-left of Tianzi... |

To be honest, I kinda expected - and hoped - that Lelouch would have said something like "I'm sorry I couldn't fulfill my contract in the end... [Whatever C.C.'s real name is]." Cheesy, I know, but I would've bursted into tears! |

hmm, does any1 else think Suzaku and Lelouch made a contract? This would mean Lelouch has the power of 'code' therefore being immortal (not really dead). Maybe I'm mis-understanding what Suzaku meant when he said, "I accept this Geass." to Lelouch. Modified by Gorilla-tape, 07-10-12, 4:39 PM |

No I think he was using "Geass" in a metaphorical sense - the Geass grants you power, but it is like a curse that you can never get rid of. |

One of the most amazing endings ever to an outstanding series. What's saddening is that Lelouch did not die a hero, but rather a tyrant, even though he is the one who brought peace. It's sad that he died anyway, but only two people know his true intention of ruling the world. At this point, there are 1599 votes for 5/5, including me. The series was great, and each episode was really intense and brought a new twist. The only problem I had was that there were so many organizations and people in them, sometimes I got confused who some characters were talking about. What a great series, 10/10. Favorite characters: Kallen, Lelouch, C.C. Disliked characters: Nina, Suzaku. Funniest Scene: C.C. being pushed into the strawberry container and Kallen in the costume (right afterwards). Most powerful/memorable: Rolo's death, and obviously Lelouch's death. |

The one thing I didn't want was for Lelouch to have to give up his name/life/identity as a villain, yet somehow... I can't say that I dislike this ending. I wanted Lelouch to always be seen as the hero, and every time he had to play the villain for Suzaku, for Nunnally, for Kallen, and for the black knights, I despised them for falling into his lies so easily. I loved when his lies made it clear he was the hero, though, so I guess I can't hate the hypocrisy running rampant through almost every character [as I was earlier]. Lelouch hated his father, so his name was something he loathed. He fought to find out about the death of his mother, yet when he solved her mystery, his mother turned out to be involved with conspiracies and beliefs that he could never accept, making his identity -- his memories and motivations -- a sham. He did everything to create a safe future for his sister to live in and, in doing so, gave up his life. Although I didn't want Lelouch to die by tainting everything he ever was, I can see why he had no problem in doing just that. Letting Zero live on as a symbol is perfect. He receives no glory and will go down in history as a stain on humanity, and although that saddens and frustrates me to no end, I see why this path was chosen. Zero is a symbol, and Lelouch changed the world. As for Nunnally, she is the one tragic person Lelouch has let down and... I'm going to cry again. After I saw her crying, Kallen and C.C. became irrelevant. I'm usually all about ships, but when it comes down to it, Lelouch's love for his one true family, his little sister, trumps all. [... I did wish for KallenxLulu though <.<;; lol] Lelouch and Nunnally are so tragic. If he could live, I'd wish for the both of them to be set free from all of their sins and live happily... just the way she wanted. The whole world cheered at his death, and Nunnally only then realized what her brother had truly done... Oh, my heart... |

At first, I went on a tyrant that they killed Lelouch. He is just too awesome! It made me dislike the second season so badly. Till I actually read the post about him being alive.. Which makes everything less annoying, and make more sense hehe. So now that I know Lulu isn't dead, the ending is actually pretty good! A little confusing, but the whole second season seemed to be kind of all over the place to begin with anyways.. All hail Lelouch! |

After watching it all for the third time i still hold firm that lelouch is alive. Too many signs pointing to it, especially C.C.'s last remarks and clear cheerfulness even though her love "Died" >_> |

Wow, this anime made me cry that the MC died. For real, I cried. Especially because I expected this. He was just too awesome for his own sake and he still died awesomelike. At least the most important people found out his true reasonings. That's all that matters. This anime and Lelouch went into my favs. All hail Lelouch! |

Yep, and it was tough knowing that he wanted to be with everyone in the end, but in the back of his head there was that voice continually saying "Keep the ones you want to protect, furthest from you". He finally realized that proverb was true. ![]() |

That way they won't be harmed by the your own actions and thy enemies. And I can't even imagine how much pain he went threw when he had to lie until the end. Making everybody hate him, just to make a better tommorow. "I destroy the world, change the world" "Those who are allowed to shoot are those who are prepared to be shot." |
