Beautiful. I cried. I'm glad that it had a happy ending. I would be broken forever if it didn't. Sen being a priest is just too... *tears of joy* Forever remembering & loving Sen, Bon & Ricchan. I want Seiji's story after grad on volume 10. |

I was already used to this bittersweet feelings that I kind of didn't expect such a nice happy end to be honest. But I'm glad it ended this way. Even though, as many said, the end was indeed rushed hence it didn't convey the same feelings as the previous chapters, which were really emotional, but it was still a very good read. |

I certainly didn't infer from what she said to mean that she had slept with some random guy. I simply assumed that she had been casually seeing someone due to her loneliness, but I highly, highly doubt that was meant to imply that she slept with him. but dont you remember that she stoped sending letters to our guy after she let that dud in her room?? i dont know about you but that tells me something happend otherwise why the guilt she felt?? hmm, I'm thinking she simply felt guilt because of the appearance that she had given up on Kaoru and that she was moving on from him. Suffice it to say, it basically didn't cross my mind while I was reading that she had slept with him. Who knows, I might be wrong, but it really doesn't seem like she would go that far with someone else. Ricchan didn't slept with him, I think she felt guilty not only because she let him in her room, but because of the stuff that guy said over the phone to Kaoru. ![]() Day before yesterday I saw a rabbit, and yesterday a deer, and today, you. |

A girl in her moment of weakness letting a guy who's head over heels for her in her room ; you're saying she didn't participate in bedroom acrobatics? Read the final 3 chapters after finishing the beautiful anime. I can't say I like what I saw with Ritsuko's situation and all But it is still awesome. But this comes from a guy who didn't read the manga Modified by alec613, 06-28-12, 12:23 PM ![]() |

I still can't believe that the one who was getting married was Sacchan D: Also Sen as a priest was the last thing I could imagine he'll be doing of with life sdfasdfa. While inded it felt a little rushed, it was a wonderful read ♥ |

Read the final 3 chapters after finishing the beautiful anime. I can't say I like what I saw with Ritsuko's situation and all But it is still awesome. But this comes from a guy who didn't read the manga I absolutely agree, I believe that part was misinterpreted as well. Yes, she states that "In a moment of weakness, I allowed him in my room", but it doesn't state that she slept with him. You have to keep the time in which this story takes place in mind as well. You're talking about the 1960's and 1970's, a time in which it was considered I guess you could say "unethical" to sleep with someone you didn't love. It's true that a moment of weakness can imply intimacy, but that doesn't always apply to every situation. While we may no know exactly what she met, it was clearly written that way because it wasn't particularly important in the author's eyes. If anything, it seems the author wrote it as if despite having a moment of weakness, in the end Ritsuko still loves Kaoru. That's how I viewed the ending of this series. In all honesty, I think the guilt she felt wasn't about the guy being in her room, but what the guy said to Kaoru over the phone. Her moment of weakness was her loneliness, however she gave her phone number to Kaoru on the back of the post card. If she truly felt guilty about having done something with another man, why would she give Kaoru her phone number with the assumption that he would call her. Also, the other guy was the one who answered the phone and said those things to Kaoru, not Ritsuko. If her reason for not contacting Kaoru after that incident was her guilt, then we can assume that her guilt was that she allowed this guy to say those things to Kaoru. Okay, this chapter and the preceding ones (41-45) were excellent. A lot of emotions came through. To bad the anime sucked it all out with cutting all what Koura went through in college and medical school. |

Holy shit. Volume 9 has a huge amount of content cut out in the anime. Although the ending in the anime was heartwarming, it could have benefitted with an extra episode or 2 to cover content that was skipped over in the anime. This was more like it. I really liked the chat with Kaoru and the dude in the car, it closed it really nicely. |

I wish the anime followed the manga more. I definitely preferred the conclusion of the manga compared to the somewhat rushed ending in the anime. |

I loved this! My heart stopped for a second when I read Ricchan instead of Sacchan on page 26). I have to thank mangaka for introducing jazz to me, I've never paid much attention to it before! Wonderful, warm story! Gonna miss them all! Oh, and yeah, can't wait for the spin-off! =D |

Overall the ending was satisfying? But i was really disappointed in Ritsuko! How can she do that to Kaoru? I thought she was a respectable woman who really loves him? Anyway other than the Ritsuko thingy the ending is quite good though it might be quite rushed. :) |
