I knew they were related! That aside, Bourbon is on the move but who's the other one? What's his role in all of this? |

I feel sorry for that case, I mean I could care less about the guy who died and who murdered him. I'm confused, so scarred Akai is the real Akai? Don't tell me the woman with the hat is Vermouth and Subaru is Bourbon! No way Gosho would made it that simple! ![]() |

Lapan said: He made it pretty clear in this chapter. Not necessarily. The crackpot theory that Okiya is actually Akai in disguise has some merit these last few cases. Saying the same thing he said to Shiho's sister, as well as saying he made a promise to 'her' to protect Shiho. Though 'her' is left vague on purpose and could actually mean Vermouth I suppose. He might do a bait and switch at the last moment, Okiya being the real Akai and Scar Akai being Vermouth in disguise, with Amuro as Bourbon. Or maybe Amuro is Akai. I doubt it's as simple as it's being made out to be. |

Now, that's what I call a development! The arc now becomes excellent - and the main reason for that is that the Detective Boys are safely(or not very safely) confined to their own compartment. Now the atmosphere has grown darker - and it fully became a BO case. As usual, I have no idea about the current murderer - and as usual, the arc is not about a case, it is just a nice addition to the atmosphere of suspense on the express. Speaking about identities, Gosho practically revealed everything though I hope for a plot twist. But Subaru's phrase about sisters, Sera's exclamation 'Shuu-nii' seem to be like dead giveaways. Vermouth can be Scar Akai this time, while Amuro can better hide his BO identity. As to the lady in the hat, it can be Yukiko or Jodie(Yukiko seems like a better variant - she's an actress, Subaru's been living into Conan's house and may have gotten in contact with her, or maybe Conan himself introduced his mother to Subaru, plus important cases nearly always feature Shinichi's parents - perhaps even Yuusaku is hiding somewhere). We still don't know how much Conan knows about the situation on the train - is everything planned or are there factors that haven't been accounted for? Hope the next file won't be last in this case. |

I still stand by Subaru being Akai.. It just seems to easy if scar Akai were the real Akai.. Especially with Subaru mentioning Shiho's sister.. I doubt Bourbon would know her as well as Akai did. If Yukiko was the lady in the hat I feel like Yuusaku would be there somewhere too.. But if it were Yukiko what could she have possibly said to scar Akai? She doesn't have a direct connection anywhere. Either way I hope this actually goes somewhere instead of returning to months of fillers.. |

I don't think chapter 821 revealed anything I still doubt S-Akai being the real one, he could be still someone in disguise. If Sera is really Akai's sister I feel sorry for Jodie. I mean how can you not know your (ex) boyfriend's sister. I thought of Yukiko as being the owner of the strand of long hair Ran found in the sink during the cold case and think of the possibility that might be her. I mean if Akai is in disguise someone must have told him how to go about it. Other than Vermouth herself I thought the lady might be Kerr with a wig. Sincerely die of laughter if Amuro turned out to be Akai. I suspect that someone might be impersonating Kogoro, I mean he was separated with the others before boarding the train, and could that old lady's maid be Kaito Kid in disguise? ![]() |

I was thinking along the same lines, but I was thinking Kid was impersonating Kogoro. Although, if that's the case, he's really doing a poor job of blending in this time. Obviously, the whole Mouri Poirou is supposed to be a parody of Hercule Poirot (following the whole Agatha Christie theme), but it just seems a bit... out of character for Kogoro. |

Has Kid ever been involved in a BO case? They seem to keep those seperate. I wouldn't be surprised if Shinichi's parents were involved.. this is a mystery train after all. They might reveal they ride it every year. |
