Veldril said: Not in VN, and anime kinda screw up that up. Gil doesn't need Endiku to defeat Lancer. Lancer lasted 12 hours fighting Gilgamesh. Read character material III. His battle continuation gave him the edge. I wouldn't be surprised if Gil had to Enkidu'ed him so he finally remained in one place once he took the battle seriously. Lancer's the fastest Servant in FSN, he also has skills such as defense against arrows and his disengage ones would make his gate of babylon mostly useless. On the other hand, he was weighted down by two command spells placed by Kotomine so he wouldn't be serious in battles. Cuchulainn isn't just any spirit. He's the most famous Irish hero and a demigod himself. He's pretty ideal Servant for most cases (temper wise too: friendly, honorable but not chivalrously stupid, etc) if wasn't for his luck. Good almost cost-free Noble Phantasm, a pack of tricks that allow him to survive (also magic), good stats (aside of luck), etc. TheRealBoyd said: While F/SN DOES have the Rin thing so I can't say anything about that, Saber only married Gwen to keep up the facade of being a man. Gwen being unhappy with that led to...well, you know. I know, but it still doesn't take away that Saber is bisexual. She would have fallen for Shirou even if he was a girl. Gender had nothing to do with their relationship. Specially, if we take into light Gen's and Nasu's claims of her being a genderqueer. Takeuchi seems the only one adamant about 'moe girl' Saber. Linkark07 said: I thought Sakura was Shirousexual. Sakura has some moments with Rin as Dark Sakura. She only loves Shirou romantically, but it doesn't mean she doesn't find some women hot. BTW, since you were discussing Cuchulainn earlier, I can't help but think Kirei has something against Servants not named Gilgamesh. xD Every spirit he commanded was brutally used as a pawn (be it thrown as expendable pawns or forced to not give it their all when fighting). I think Nasu has gone on record saying Lancer would have been unstoppable if the Holy Grail Wars were in Europe, especially in Ireland. Then again, He's the song of a god, so that's to be expected. I think it's just that CuChuliann would be stronger in Ireland and possibly get a chariot and castle and such (Hercules was the one Nasu said would be better in all of Europe), not unstoppable. Though given who he is, close enough for most foes. CuChuliann/Bazett would basically steamroll F/SN, yeah. And to be fair to Kirei, he didn't give a shit about the war while he still had Assassin, and he already had Gilgamesh when he got Lancer. |

Pretty stupid how Overpowered Archer seems. There was no fight at all against Rider and Archer. Nothing really happened between Saber and Lancelot. It was all talk and barely any action. 1/5 |

WOW. I never expected Rider's conclusion to be that perfect. His sprint across the bridge, towards the horizon of victory, will stick with me as one of the most draw dropping scenes in this show. As a huge Saber fan, Rider you have earned a high spot. Gilgamesh is still the utopia of bullshit. I don't think the man knows how to fight. Iskander said it perfectly that he pulls one oddity after another. ![]() |

Definitely my favorite episode so far in the series. I have a lot of respect for Gil and Rider they are without a doubt my 2 favorites in Fate/Zero. I like how they both had respect for each other. I feel bad for Alexander but sadly his opponent was Gilgamesh. Thankfully Gilgamesh let Waver live. Enuma ELISH! Was fucking amazing. Thanks UFO for animating it properly. 5/5 Modified by Ragna92, 06-09-12, 11:18 PM All the evils in the world? Bring at least three times as much if you wish to spoil me! - Gilgamesh ![]() |

Of course it's Lancelot, as so unceremoniously spoiled by the idiots posting in first season threads. But damn, that Ea is so much more fucking badass here. |
