Rider's death and all these feelings...
I thought the part with Saber and Berserker was interesting, and the way she displayed her emotions when his true form was revealed.
Oh, the last episode is too close.

I didn't want to make a new thread, so here's the question.

Why exactly is Kiritsugu so depressed all the time? Im re watching fate zero SE1 and he says that he does not have the rights to hold his own child and Irisviel says that he finds happiness painful.

This isnt a spoiler since it was said in the prologue of the LN....
He is afraid that there is the possibility of him sacrificing Ilya just like he did with Natalia.Also he MUST sacrifice Iri for the grail.I doubt that anyone would like him if he was totally okay with this.So just by being with someone he loves is painful.

Oh...Well, I guess i'll have to watch Fate/Zero 3 Times in order to understand everything.

Fantastic fucking episode. Rider's death was an inevitability, but it was still sad nonetheless. He gave it his all, even to the very end.

Despite Gil killing off my favorite character(with the exception of Kirei) in the series, I have nothing but respect for him; after all, he displayed an enormous amount of respect toward not only Rider, but Waver as well. Given Urobuchi's penchant for sadistic and cruel deaths(Kayneth, for one), Rider's was treated with honor and integrity. His last charge was a noble way to go; a befitting end for the King of Conquerors. Broskander shall be remembered.

Poor Waver...


Oh, and as far as the other fight of the episode is concerned, I can't say I have too much to say about it. Berserker's identity was spoiled for me a long time ago on Random Curiosity's blog, so I wasn't too shocked by the turn of events. I'm curious to see how the fight's going to end, though.

Wow, Rider went out like a true beast. He will surely be missed, he brought a great positive feeling to this show full of dark and tormented characters. Wonder how Saber's gonna be able to take out her number one knight! Things are getting epic!

That;s the start of the song Gangsters Paradise by Coolio and in my opinion one of the best rap songs ever made.
That a sentence like that would be used in this Anime is pretty nice to see.

Seeing that Berserker is Lancelot really came as a surprise it just makes me wonder what his anger is and why is it aimed at Saber?

He's a priest and that's one of the most iconic Psalms in the Bible. What did you expect? He actually uses prayers and Bible citations when using his spiritual cleansings and attacks. He barely uses magic at all, except his healing skills.

Ugh, my Rider/Waver shipper heart.

I thought it was really cool and showed a massive amount of respect between Gil and Rider to have a drink before their battle, a really nice touch. Really cool battle scene as well, especially with Iskander's charge toward Gil at the end of the battle. I just knew those god damn chains would show up...

I'd been spoiled about the Lancelot reveal (in this very thread) so that didn't surprise but, yeah, I think it was handled well. Looking forward to how it turns out in the next episode.

Oh, and I find it pretty respectable how Gil spared Waver. I wonder what he would have done if he had command spells though?

No words. This is anime, no, this is entertainment done 100% right. I am fully satisfied with this episode, it succeeds on every level.

Rider, who would have guessed I would be cheering for you till the very end? What a character.

That line of Waver "I was ordered to live" was in is own way, bad-ass. It shows the level of respect and friendship Waver had for Rider, in a situation where he was clearly not caring for his life and just wanting to have a suicidal charge at Gilgamesh.

Fave episode.

PS: OH GOD and Berserker! Damn I always get the chills when he fights. The revelation was to some extend, surprising, but not mind-blowing. I just love watching this guy wrecking chaos and havoc, do it for us who can't discharge our rage to our hearts content like you!

I hate archer and his fucking gameshark cheat codes lulz magic. It's fucking cheap, I know he's supposed to be powerful but it's too excessive. "Oh, you have a super army of heroes? I have a sword that destroys everything for that." Seriously? Rider is pretty damn powerful, he should have least hurt archer enough where archer actually questions his own pigheaded pride. This better not end with him being defeated only because his master is taken down.

Well he isnt called "Servant Destroyer" for nothing.But would you prefer if Gil went full retardand not use Ea because Rider wasnt worthy enough and lose because of that?
I find it funny that before FZ,Saber was the one cheating with Avalon and Excalibur.

Fate franchise is full of things that are or can be easily seen as plothax, Can't be helped. At least there is no Heroic Spirit Ryougi yet.
