According to Monthly Shonen GanGan magazine, three additional episodes of Saki: Achiga-hen - Episode of Side-A were announced to be aired following the main TV series. The semifinal will be concluded by the extra episodes.

Fucking amazing news. I lovelovelove Achiga-hen and am importing it, but the one place it falls short compared to the original is that the matches are handled almost as very very brief highlights, rather than real matches. More episodes hopefully means time for a bit more of the crazy mahjong action of the original, at least for the semifinals.

It was the same in the manga. Only most important matches were shown fully.

Well according to the wording in the first post, they're going to be "aired", so I'm going with TV.

So this has 16 eps well that's a shock.



It needs more real matches and supernatural mahjong, it's lacking in both, I want full matches with every move shown not a highlight of a match.

i know, they could be doing that instead of trying to give us a backstory to the opposing teams that lost badly.
