Here is to hoping Laxus' dad spills the beans on what it is before he gets beaten to a pulp ^^
If I was to guess Lumen Historie teaches you the ability to use the 3 great Fairy magic? Or maybe it is the greatest Fairy Magic ever?

I think someone will realize what the hell is going on with the ilusion whether it be mavis, makarov, erza with her fake eye, natsu with his nose, or someone else and they'll tell the guild immediately. then Mavis will cast an even more powerful illusion over the one ivan cast and then the entire fairy tail guild will go down there without anyone noticing and eventually either force ivan to resign or force a fair fight between laxus and ivan alone. I think that'd be Mishima stle and it'd be freaking awesome

Right, Erza can see trough illusion with her fake eye.

Also, Laxus may break it with his fairy law or any powerfull spells, like he did with mystogan's one.

But the don't know how this illusion exactly works.

Damnit, can't they install a FUCKING MAGIC SHIELD around the arena, not to get ANY FUCKING INterferences! I know it's for the PLOT, but damnit! They're mages!

I still stand by what I said on the first page of this thread but I can live with this too, for plot purposes. I still want redemption for the "crowd" and "guild" though. I almost punched a hole through my laptop when I saw the illusion Alexei choking the illuson Laxus in front of all his family/friends and spectators. That's far worse than actually getting beaten up. Laxus's role is the powerful, protective and intimidating older brother/role model for the Fairy Tail guild (especially Natsu, Gray, Lissana, Wendy, Freed, Bixlow and Ever), wtf is with all the kids that look up to him seeing this fuckery. This is too disgraceful. A minimum of 4 unidentifiable bloody corpses better be lying at Laxus's feet in the middle of a lightning storm for all of the world to see on live T.V. There better be redemption, 100 fold.

I really hope Laxus has a plan. He was never the one to charge into an impossible battle like Natsu. Especially if he's to become next guild master he should be strategising a little. It will be a huge let down if they'll simply fight and Laxus loses. He can't win against aces of equally strong guild that exists for sole purpose of destroying Fairy Tail. But making him just lose would be... kinda... Imagine it from the point of the audience, they see Laxus getting beaten up and then him lying on the ground beaten up... Mashima might be a troll but I doubt he would troll FT THAT much. One of their strongest fighters getting crushed just like that? In front of so many people? Too much of a disgrace for him if you ask me.



Magic shield? Around a magic competition? lolwut Besides that wasn't even an interference, it came from one of the fighters. They can't limit their magic. Why would they? It's common sense that no one would fake their battle. They couldn't know someone would have ulterior motives for the battle. Even if they did, I doubt there's something they could do about it. Many competitors use sky attacks during battles, they can't just tell them not to. Limiting one's power wouldn't be fair.

I'm plainly hating on Raven Tail now. But I must admit, this arc is getting really awesome.

Seriously this makes me wonder how strong Laxus's father is . I really dont see how laxus can win despite me wanting him to win so badly . Oh well lets see how it goes

This......times 10,000. I mean Laxus better not loss at least not against Iwan's subordinates anyway.....

Personally, I think it really depends on how strong the illusion magic it is for Erza to see through it with her artificial eye (Polyushka's magic vs Iwan's magic). As for Natsu's nose, I highly doubt it, since if the audience can't hear anything, then I doubt they can smell anything.

Also, Fairy Tail would be come very unrealistic if Laxus was to win this fight, and perhaps make the arc very boring if one of the potential main arc villain was gone.

And I really doubt the fight would be that epic, if FTA vs LS is going to be in there, the fight between Laxus and Raven Tail can't last 20 pages :P

BTW, what do you think of Blue Pegasus' secret weapon? Any idea who the bunny's identity really is?

I hope Laxus win this battle but of course it seems that someone will understand that this is an illusion and he/she will try to stop what is happening...

But oh man Laxus vs 5 members of RT???And Alexei is Ivan....I hope Laxus kick his father's a**.

Personally I don't think RT are that tough. The only things I've seen from them are just cheap tricks. Let's examine the situation:

Flare being scared silly by Lucy which isn't nearly as powerful as Natsu or Gray.

That fatso who would've been squashed by Gray had it been a direct combat fight.

Kurohebi who defeated the 'mighty' quatro puppy guy (although we don't know his full strength).

Obra is someone who can be dangerous until they figure him out.

His father which I'd expect to be better than his cronies, but still no match for Makarov or Sabertooth's master either, which is why he resorts to these cheap tactics.

VERSUS

A frickin S-Class Mage with DragonSlayer magic which his father hasn't seen in years (over 7 for Laxus, 14 for Iwan). Besides we don't know what training he's undergone.

Lumen Historie...dieing to know what it contains....well that probably won't be revealed for ages though lol.
I guess it's also something to do with the power behind FT as well...
I didn't expect the Laxus battle to turn out like this....I don't see Laxus winning really with out using Fairy Law or something....which is a possibility I guess...
Still I would like to see him win....and if anything....sure he'lll defeat the other RT mages.
Laxus has probably gotten stronger....so it's not impossible of him to go and defeat Iwan....

As for someone figuring out about the illusion and seeing through it all....seems unikely.....since the council members are there....that would rule out all of RT from the remainder of this...unless they escape or something...
Well either way....I look forward to this fight....I want to see Laxus in his ragemode destroying them lol xD

Oh and on a side note....the guy in the Bunny costume....wonder who he is....has to be some one we seen before as well I would assume..

If Laxus does come out of this with a win, Fairy Tail will lose its coolness. Laxus is a boss, but I can't see him standing a chance against Raven Tail.

Depends on what epic is, but it is sorta hard to do that without any buildup at all. At least it seems like it will only take one though; a 1v5 fight with laxus.

I guess this is Laxus's time. Have been waiting this chapter in this arc ... Oh goodness, I hate Raven Tail for this too. I can't imagine Laxus winning all the elites. I can't expect that. At least it'll be more reasonable if Erza could see the illusion by using her fake eyes. Or anyone. The match is already suspicious to begin with. Someone outside of the arena must think of something.

It really depends on how it was really written in the original and how it was translated. Historie would have a ス sound while Etoile would not...

Guess we'll never know unless someone provides the original source or we read further and see...? I'm just re-instating what I read from this blog lol
