During the broadcast of the 25th and final episode of Macross Frontier, it was announced that the series would be released in movie form. The movie will be following the same plot revolving around a fighter pilot named Alto Saotome and two singers named Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee as humanity battles an alien threat.

No word on whether the movie will feature new animation or recycle from the series. A release date is also still unknown at this point.

According to Macross Ace magazine vol.002, the movie will be premiered on November 21st. The title is "Gekijouban Macross Frontier Itsuwari no Utahime".

right on thats cool, maybe they could change a few plot points kind of like what they did in X/1999. Because I dont want any reused animation.

Yeah I saw that too. I want more story but also more stuff that they did not show in the TV series. That's for sure!

The ending of Frontier is open ending, this should be a continuation period.
