Yeah it's a bit boring, there haven't been any changes in the higher ranks in the last few weeks... looks like we have to restrict the number of unique teams next time or do something else. The suggestion thread is always open for ideas :) |

Ah, unique teams are actually a good thing, though. It's the duplicate teams that increase the likelihood of people getting the same exact amount of points at a given time, depending on how swaps go and all. I don't have anything to add to that for now, but if I think up anything worthwhile I will chime in with my ideas in the suggestions thread. |

Ban noitaminA shows. :D Will suggest more after the season is finished. :) |

I can't see much reason to ban any show outside of case-by-case special cases. |

How about if you had to have an extra team that would be added on week 8, that couldn't be in your bench or active team at the start, and couldn't be changed for 3 weeks after it gets added? So at the start you would choose 8 teams - 5 active, 2 bench and one to be added 8 weeks in. I doubt everyone would choose the same team for this, and it would be interesting to see what sort of strategies people would adopt for that, as they wouldn't be able to have that anime on their list in the first half, but then would HAVE to have it for the early stages of the second. |

That is good, but it would be better if it were not just one but two teams to be added at week 8, the probability of two ppeople chosing all the same is very little.... ![]() |

Let's only ban NoitaminA Josei's :P Nah, but I think it's natural that people have the same scores as everyone tries to get the best possible team constellation and with a bit of knowledge you can limit them to 5-8 shows and it's not that hard to pick 6 of these top 8 shows for your team, there are bound to be multiple teams with the same constellation. Limiting the Bench would indeed be a lot harder to handle. Reinstating bonus points for random stuff like Fansub Groups or licensations is something that would also have the desired effect, but I personally am against it because too much randomization. I think the most interesting path is about the Wild Cards and extending their functions and range. More different wildcards, less random wildcards, maybe 1 for the first half and one for the second half of the game (or more). That would also make situations like at the moment less likely I'd say. Also I'd suggest some team mode where you can (at registration) register for a team (teams have a fixed size of 2 or 4 or 10 or whatever). So you register your team for yourself AND for your team. The other teammember(s) do the same, but can't have the same constellations as the other teammembers. The teamscore would be taken separately next to the individual scores and teammembers could support each other by nuking others etc... Check out our new Simul Watch CLUB and join if you're interested in watching stuff together with other people online to discuss about it in a more private and detailed matter than the episode discussion subforums can provide. Also the Custom Tags Club, if you like to customize your tags and don't want to wait until the MAL feature is fixed. If Death Note is "chess", LotGH is "3D Chess." - lisnoire Code Geass would be Rock-Paper-Scissors in this analogy. Guilty Crown? xthedestroyer said: Go Fish! |
