Erin sat, in the criss cross apple sauce formation, her legs tucked over each other and underneath herself. She had requested that Fenix, one of the more well-known captains of the society join her. She felt, that as a new captain to the group, she lacked the talent that some of the others showed. She requested that he join her, and take her threw a crash coarse in fighting. He had of course agreed, trying to win her over to his side, of chaos or bliss.

Fenix made his way towards the meeting point that Erin had decided, he was in a rather relaxed manner with his hands inside his long white jacket. Despite that he was about to fight with another captain Fenix hadn’t bothered to change into any other clothes instead he still wore his noble like clothes it wasn’t that he didn’t respect Erin but it was more that they were his clothes that he always wore now.

“I made you wait so long that you took a little nap...kids are so cute at times.”

Fenix couldn’t seem to resist the chance as he looked over towards Erin with a smile on his face, he knew she wasn’t sleeping and instead was more than likely meditating or something like that, however Fenix couldn’t resist the opportunity to tease Erin who did look like a little kid despite her age and at the same time compared to him she was a very young captain.

“Disturbing the tranquility Fenix as ever I see…bah!”

Erin swept up out of her sitting position, hands held loosely at her sides. The stance she took seemed relaxed, but she was ready to spring at any moment.

“Old men are so obnoxious…and so damn slow!”

Fenix smiled at the stance Erin had gotten herself into and in a way she reminded him of himself when he was much younger, ready to pounce at anything and in a way he missed those time everything was much easier back then instead of worrying about everything. Compared to the stance Erin was in Fenix looked to be much more relaxed in fact he held no stance at all and yet it was difficult to even see an opening to land a direct hit.

“seems like there will be little need to talk to you...if you really want me to fight you then make me draw my sword...baka girl.”

The air around Fenix had become much denser due to his spirit pressure however the most scary thing for the people was that they could never sense a trace of his spiritual pressure, it was as if he had none and yet most by now knew that he possessed an enormous amount spiritual energy but the exact amount was a mystery just like almost everything was when it came to Fenix...

Erin flicked her hair up and over her shoulder, clearing it out of her face, and smiled at Fenix. A similar condensed pressure could be seen in the air around Erin, but it was not like Fenix’s at all. Where as his was dark, with zero traces of his own presence, hers was light, pure and carried a fragrance of flowers. IT was unusual for spiritual pressures to carry smells, but when condensed a captains spiritual energy could be utilized as a weapon itself.

“Fine, if you wish Captain…”

As the figure in front of fenix beckoned one last time, for him to come at her a blade swung down at fenix. The only thing that gave it away was the breath of wind and the singing sound it made as it cut threw the air, from his right shoulder to his left hip. As that strike fell, another joined it from the side creating two perpendicular slashes; one across his back, and one across his side. Erin had used a traditional flash step technique, leaving a fading after image wile striking rapidly and hiding her spiritual pressure. This fight, for her was serious.

The pleasant smell that came from Erin’s reiatsu was that of flowers instead of the aura and feeling of bloodshed that seemed to come from Fenix, this though was probably natural Erin was the 4th division captain and so cared for people, Fenix on the other hand had grown up in war most of his life and had come from one of bloodiest periods in the history of shinigami.

“You’re faster than I thought...”

Fenix smiled while stepping to the side of the first strike casing it to pass by harmlessly but it wasn’t over yet the first attack probably being a faint more than anything after all she was a captain even if she was a lot younger than he was. The speed at which Fenix read through Erin’s attack was frightening with his senses being honed from constant training and fighting where on mistake would cost his life. Within a fraction of a second that it had taken Erin to come close for her second or true attack of the combo he had already grabbed the top of her wrist, his overpowering strength that was immense despite his rather slim figure halting her attack in its tracks but he wasn’t simply stopping hers but launching his own attack as he flipped himself upside down above her head while holding her wrist in place.

“You will need to be more serious if you want me to draw my blade...Erin-chan.”

The way Fenix spoke her name was mockingly like he was looking down at her and treating her as a mere child instead of an equal, by now he was almost directly above her head as he let go of her wrist and begun to flip his body around his intention being clear but the sheer speed and destructive power behind the simple attack was what made it devastatingly scary. Driving the roof of his foot back down towards the top of Erin’s shoulder as he completed the flip above her head it was clear if she got hit with such attack then depending on the force behind the attack she could come off with a shattered shoulder or perhaps even worse.

Erin was no rookie when it came to combat. Much as Fenix, she had grown up in a time of strife; just younger then him though, just coming in at the end of the war. She wasn’t quite proficient, which was why she was having him help her now.

She twitched her hips to one side, just barely spinning out of the way letting him smash down in to the ground. Miraculously, she had sheathed her blade as he fell, and preformed a side swipe of her fist straight across her body. Do to her being so short, the blow was aimed right for Fenix’s balls. She was not the strongest in the world, but she packed quite a large punch being several times stronger than a normal person, that strike would temporarily put Fenix out of business for quite possibly thirty or so minutes depending on if he liked to feel that feeling that you get when struck in the testicles.

Erin had avoided his attack or so it seemed at least and had even begun to launch hers although not directed at a fatal area it was rather a painful one or it would be if it landed. Fenix had less than a second to think he could either avoid the attack and cancel his but that would take a fraction of a second longer than he would like instead he decided to go through with his original idea seeing as though she had dodged the blunt force of his attack but had come in close again it would still serve a purpose.

“Little girls shouldn’t be touching men like that.”

As Fenix spoke something happened to the air below his foot and even around them had changed like something had blasted right through it, it only lasted for a split second at the most such was the speed of whatever Fenix had done to attack but it could be felt. The ground below them gave way a giant crater being formed with the centre of the crater being directly below Fenix as his feet landed back on the ground, the dust and pieces of rock from the ground being blown away in all different directions along with Erin who had also been close to Fenix. The scary part of it all was that Fenix wasn’t really serous yet but even so if the attack landed directly it would have probably caused her some serious damage and even though Erin didn’t know a great deal about Fenix or his abilities she could tell that some sort of force field had pushed her backwards and had probably done the damage to the area.

“You really are faster than I thought but can you really match my speed?”

Erin was shoved back, approximately ten feet. She was pushed out of the crater that was formed, but only to the edge of it. Her eyes were level, as she flict her wrist activating her shikai with a silent command of "Release."

The blade divided in to two long but thin blades, sort of like over sized needles. cConnecting the tips of the blades was a string that looked flimsy yet was more durable than any substance in the world. It could be slashed, smashed, and dashed but nothing would happen. If slashed or smashed, the thing doing it would be bounced back. If dashed, the person would become stuck; such was the properties of the spider silk that Erin wielded. That was not to say that it was invincible, it was highly flammable, and burned with an entence heat.

"Talented Fenix...rather talented, though I think I have figured out something...yes, why your reatsu is always so large...fascinating!"

Erin's eyes flicked up and down, and then she spun leaping in to the air. It was sort of strange, kind of like a dance of some sort, but her leap carried her twenty feet before she started to fall.

“Ohhh...you think you know why my reiatsu is so large?”

Fenix stood at the centre of the crater his head was facing ahead of him even though Erin was to his side he could see her from the corner of his eyes and so didn’t really need to turn his head, his eyes however had shifted over in the direction where Erin was standing, the look and aura around Fenix seemed different almost like the Fenix she had known and seen up until now was nothing more than a mere facade used to disguise his true self. The air around Fenix no it was the air around the air was calm but it was unnaturally calm like something had swallowed the energy the energy from the wind itself and although slight even Erin could start to feel something draining her energy away the question wasn’t who or what was doing it without a doubt it was probably Fenix but the question was when did she begin to actually lose her energy and how was he really doing it.

“Tell me Erin-chan...why is my power so large?”

Fenix looked up towards Erin as she leapt into the sky she was without a doubt in her shikai so she had finally released her zanpaktu; it was something Fenix never had to do since he was always in shikai since that day at least anyway. It was the first time Fenix had seen her shikai and it brought a smile to his face it seemed something simple but still it was better he didn’t underestimate it or he might actually find it harder than he wanted to, it was by now that Erin lost track of the reiatsu coming from Fenix she could still see him but nothing was coming from him no heat or anything it was as though he wasn’t really standing there and yet he was...had he shut her senses down with his last attack or was it something else he was doing the more one thought about it the more mysterious Fenix became.

“Are you content with your power right now...wait you probably haven’t seen true power yet.”

With that Fenix flicked his hand upwards slightly with the loose dirt below him quickly rising upwards into the sky surrounding Erin like something had pushed it all up at once, the dirt acted as a smoke screen causing her to lose track of Fenix and with her ability to sense his spiritual power seemingly shut down that in itself was a terrifying situation he could attack from anywhere and she would have to rely on sound alone or at least she would until the dirt cleared away.

“Let me open your innocent eyes to the truth.”

His voice came from just behind Erin somehow he had managed to move silently from where he was standing to just behind her in less than a second of course this was possible or had Erin underestimated his speed and knowledge of Shunpo after all even as mysterious as Fenix was rumours still floated around Soul Society of his power and one was that he was among the fastest if not the fastest in Soul Society. No sooner had Fenix stopped talking Erin could see his foot coming around towards the side of her waist it was coming at a shocking speed which made it seem that Fenix was moving faster or was it because she could no longer sense him that it gave the illusion he was moving faster either way she had hardly any time to react and if it was the same type of attack that he used before it would cause her serious problems if it landed.

Erin twisted in the air like an eel, bringing her zompacto around not to deflect his kick however; she stabbed down at his leg, just above the knee, in the lower thie region.

At the exact same time, the strand that had been growing from the tip of her blades split of, thickening rapidly and creating a disk she. IT fell between fenix’s foot and Erin’s hip. Do to the type of material that it was, the kick would sink in to it; depending on the power behind the kick, it would send fenix either blasting off in to the air; in the direction of her original strike, or he would get stuck to the disk, which was suspended by several strings to each blade holding it tightly.

"Assessing your power, and the style in which you attack; using some sort of energy state to manipulate all materials such as soil, or creating a giant pocked of air to blast out the ground with your strikes...It leads me to believe that you have some how adapted your shikai to be active from the second you feel animosity directed at yourself."

Erin shook her head slightly, starting to feel a bit tired...no matter, she had learned how to fight with fatigue, but if it grew steadily worse minute by minute, this fight was going to be extremely difficult...bankai, may be her only option to salvation.

Fenix watched as the blade came down towards his leg he didn’t seem to be too bothered by the oncoming blade instead his focus was on the shield that had formed between them both it didn’t seem like a regular shield in that it would just bock the attack it seemed more complicated than that and softer, still this didn’t matter or didn’t seem to anyway with Fenix continuing his kick until his foot slightly touched the shield with it beginning to sink into it and it was at this moment that Fenix reduced the power considerably or so it seemed at least.

“Interesting...”

Fenix smiled slightly the kick lacked any real power since he stopped it in its path yet the shield that resembled a rubber like material still shifted ever so slightly like it would if some wind brushed against it, what happened next was something that Erin had probably not expected she was right about Fenix using energy but still she was wrong in the ways he could use it. In less than a second of the kick stopping Erin could feel what could be described as a focused shockwave colliding against her body it was in the same place that the kick would have hit and probably felt like a bullet had just impacted against her body threatening to rip her insides to pieces, yet according to Fenix he was still holding back so just what was his true power and even more annoying he had yet to draw his zanpaktu it was a sign that he hadn’t acknowledged her power at all yet.

“Come Erin-chan you can’t be falling already...the game is only beginning”

Fenix vanished from where he was standing appearing above Erin again there was quite a bit of distance the kind that only a shunpo could have created the only problem was that his movements had not created a single sound indicating that he had somehow progressed even further in Hoho than the standard techniques. Erin was fighting against a man that she could not sense spiritually and now she could not hear the sound of his movements along with her energy being drained bit by bit with each passing second, for a newcomer to fights the situation would be causing mental strain beyond what they could probably take it would even cause some mental strain on an experienced fighter depending on how that person fought the strain could be greater or weaker. If Erin was to look up she would see that Fenix had raised his hand above his head but for the first time since the fight she could see a swirling clear blue like energy gathering around the palm of his hand as he drew in some of the energy around him, the wind still being calm well unusually calm almost dead like.

Erin winced as fenix's foot made contact with the shield. The feeling that past threw her; the condensed twisting in her hip felt almost as if something had passed threw her ripping her insides to shreds. She, being a medic new that this was not the case however, it was a psychosomatic reaction, to something that fenix was doing to her.

As fenix vanished, earens left hand blade was pulled slightly up. She smiled. Her mind, being split in to three pieces at this time, had managed to keep up with everything. One part of her mind, was dealing with the fatigue of what Fenix was doing to her. Being a medic, and a former member of the eleventh, Erin was use to fatigue...this technique would not stop the effects, only delay them temporarily. The second and most important piece of her mind, was dealing with the control of her blade, manipulating the strands of string. ThE third, dealt with observation, and pain. Her mind was being stretched thin by this foot, and she had little room to talk.

As fenix appeared above, he did not realize that a string, practically invisible was now attached to his foot. The shield from before had disintegrated, but one string remained. Erin would now be able to track him, but she could not let him realize this. She formed her facial muscles in to a mask of startlement, looking surprised that he had appeared up there. This was only slightly fained however; she had not thought he could move so fast.

"What...is...is he performing some sort of cero?"

Erin moved; flash stepping up and to the right of fenix, still below him by approximately five feet, three to the right. Her eyes were bright, her blades crossed in an X-formation, as if preparing for a block.

Tracking the movements of Erin was fairly simple despite her speed this was mainly down to the sensing abilities of Fenix and the fact he was used to dealing with various different types of fighters indeed it would be easier to list the type of fighters that he hadn’t faced in the past. The more impressive feat was that Erin had managed to track him which had him thinking if she had some sort of sensing ability something he hadn’t accounted for or if she could still see his movements and he wasn’t taking her serious enough...either way it didn’t matter Erin had closed the distance but that only made it harder for her to dodge the oncoming attack that Fenix was about to toss at her.

“Is this really the limit of your power?”

There was a hint of disappointment in the tone of his voice like Fenix had been expecting more from Erin and that currently he was seeing her as nothing more than a failure. With a sigh Fenix brought his hand down towards Erin flicking his wrist and hand ever so slightly in a nonchalant sort of way like he was dismissing a fly, in flicking his hand through the energy that had gathered was also released with millions of tiny pieces of energy being released as they headed down towards Erin the pieces of energy covered not just Erin but a large area around her making it almost impossible to fully evade, yet the force behind each thin needle like piece of energy wasn’t great it was the sharpness and piercing effect that was most dangerous.

As the shards of energy formed in the air, when Fenix flicked his wrist everything was instantly analyzed by part of Erin's mind. Wide ranged attack, long distance, closes up...no room to avoid. The energy shards covered a three meter diameter, and were spreading out as they fell fast straight down at Erin. Her eyes calculated the speed, distance and one other fact. The shards, if like anything from before would pack a punch. Not just that though, they looked pointy...which meant that they would slice straight threw something on contact. The damage caused by one, depending on where it struck could be quite devastating.


Erin's lips twisted up. There was only one thing she could do, and boy...was this going to hurt. She reached forwarded, sheathing her right blade in the same motion as grasping the piece of thread connecting her and fenix. Then, she pulled using shunpo to fly along the line, appearing in front of fenix. As she had done this, several things had happened.

First, a shield similar to the other one used before had appeared in front of her, smaller do to lack of time. It was posissioned at an angel, to reflect some of the missiles. Then, her right blade had whipped back out, using a strand of string connected to her other blade, creating a sort of wind meal, clearing out some of the spikes. Then, using the path created she moved up and threw the sharDs.

She was not unharmed however. Three spikes pierced her left shoulder, the side not defended by the blade. Four other spikes slashed rivulets down her forearm, leaving bloody streaks down her arm. Another cut was opened up along her temple, blood dripping slowly down her face.

That was not even talking about the little explossions that caused her hair to flake off in places, from the amount of energy dispersed by her blade slicing threw the needles.

Erin was now beet up, but she was smiling. She whispered softly, just loud enough for fenix to hear her, before a giant fist of spiritual pressure smashed in to fenix. If unprepared, it would send him stumbling out of the air, off balanced.

"Bankai..."

Fenix watched as Erin pulled on the string to him he couldn’t quite make it out but she was surely pulling on something and so following the movement it naturally caused him to look down towards himself the thin piece of thread that she must have attached sometime during the fight but when had she come into contact with him, there was only once he had touched her and that was during the kick it all fell into place with Fenix quickly placing things into the correct place inside his head but now what was she going to do...it seemed as though she was pulling herself towards him but that was crazy was she really planning to rush towards the attack?

“Seriously you are so desperate to rush at the attack...”

Fenix didn’t seem to concerned by Erin rushing towards him it just meant that she had less chance to avoid the onslaught of the needle like energy that were bombarding her, clenching his fist he was ready to punch a hole right through her body as he gathered energy into his fist but something even he didn’t expect the stupid little girl released her Bankai right in his face sending him back a good distance, he had absorbed most of the reiatsu thanks to that being natural and maybe Erin could understand why she was losing her energy now but still the sudden increase in force had caught him off guard.

She went Bankai and exploded her reiatsu in my face...smart girl...but annoying.

Fenix moved his right hand from the front of his face it had been a natural reaction to cover his face in case she had hit him when she went bankai but lucky enough she hadn’t instead Fenix had been given the time t recover his composure and balance in the air not that he needed long thanks to his experience, Erin though had also taken damage more damage than she would have probably liked with some of the needles piercing right through her like Fenix had intended with the thin strand that had been connecting them being severed by a swirling blade of energy that surrounded Fenix he didn’t know if more threads had been connected and so decided to make sure. Fenix seemed different now Erin had entered Bankai he seemed more serious with the look in his eyes being much sharper than they were originally he was reading everything around him it wouldn’t be too much to say that if something was to move he would cut it down that was the feeling Erin got from the aura that radiated from Fenix.

“And then the spider became trapped in a web...”

It was a play on words with her spirit being that of a spider but just how much did Fenix know of her and her abilities up until now he had not said much but yet he seemed to know far more than he first appeared to. Erin had always been suspicious of Fenix and he knew that all too well yet often decided to play along and pretend not to know anything it was his nature to always pretend to know less than he really did. With the needles piercing Erin she could have been forgiven for thinking it was over but unfortunately that wasn’t the case with the needles piercing through parts of her body little spikes from the ends of them had opened up embedding themselves into her body where they had pierced, the needles had actually gone right through like they were intended to do but they still remained connected to Erin as she could feel herself being forcefully pulled down against the ground under her, the needles being strong thin wires of energy that were now acting as binds holding her against the ground itself lucky enough for her only part of her body was being blinded to the ground.

“Rushing at me let you get in a hit you could say but it also let me hit you.”

Fenix spoke down towards Erin as the smoke and dust from her crashing into the ground cleared only now he was holding a small sphere of condensed energy in the palm of his right hand it was glowing with power so much that Erin could see it. His intentions were clear while Erin was bound he was going to hit her hard and fast, moving his hand slightly so it was facing towards Erin the sphere of energy was released into a beam similar to how a cero would look and the power behind it was enough to cause Erin a lot of damage and that was only the energy part, the impact would be like a cannon ball crashing into her body bones could quiet possibly and easily be broken and yet Fenix didn’t seem to hesitate or care. Erin did have some time though although it was only a brief second or two she could probably think of ways to escape most of the blast if not all one way could be to try and cut through the wires that were binding her although that was difficult for two reasons one they were under her body and in the ground and they weren’t exactly weak either so it was probably risky to go with that option and the more severe one would be to severe her arm off but was she prepared to do something so severe as that?



((Sorry for the long post. The wires are like I described but I don’t know your character as well as you so I’m leaving it open for you to decide how to escape. The strings are not impossible to cut it is just awkward but if you can do it then go for it. In the end this is open to you how to evade or deal with the problem ^^))

As fenix stumbled back a few meters from the force of the riatsu burst, several things happened.

Behind him, a giant spider materialized in the air, easily 3 times the size of a large man. It was black, hairy, eight legs and eyes, and a set of giant pincers on its front. Not just that, but mounted on its back was a spear like thing, laced with a sort of poison, that though not lethal, would subdue restless people during entence surgery...sort of like an anesthetic. The spider had no living energy, and was releasing no riatsu; hence, the reason it worked as a master assassin. Completely undetectable, unless of course one saw it.

Do to human nature, one would instantly have a deep rooted fear that would try to over ride ones in stinks. One may not be afraid of spiders when tinny, but deep rooted in the brain everyone is afraid of them in some way or another. It was far enough back, so it would not be noticed by fenix, and positioned at an angle that would not cast a shadow upon fenix; it was virtually in his blind spot.

The other thing that happened was as Erin was thrust down against the ground from the air by the wires attached to the needles, her blade disappeared completely. It was not gone for good, it was only gone for now. The two blades that had been, were now one long katana, but trapped up underneath her. She smiled up at fenix, as he talked and formed his attack.

As the energy ball was thrused down, releasing a beam of energy in to Erin's stomach, she smiled. As the energy beam faded away, all that was left was a surprising amount of blood, a shirt sleeve, and a crater in the ground.

Erin's voice resonated from just above fenix, clearly filled with pain, but still not driven to insanity.

"Nice trick Captain, though not quite clever enough. Pain, though bothersome is rather easy to over come...being the Captain of the fourth. Now, when you have an opportunity...I would like to know exactly how you absorbed my riatsu, as if it was food...your shikai? Or maybe just your zompacto all together...energy based huh? Very interesting...it is quite astonishing..."

If fenix looked up, he would see Erin floating just above him. As the energy beam fell in the blink of his eye, she had used a flash step; but not with a step, instead with a role. By rolling up and over her left shoulder, which was pinned, and using shunpo she had ripped the wire straight threw her arm, leaving a bloody gash that if not treated soon, would quickly bleed out. Being the fourth division captain however, Erin new when and ware it was necessary to take an injury, which would be fatal, and which would not. The only issue with that gash, that was steadily pumping blood out was just that. tHis blood loss, combined with the constant energy drain would end her far quicker then either one alone. If it was not for her bankai...she would have already dropped from the combined effort.

As she finished her talk, she did a simple shinobi technique, learned in the ancient days of Japan. The quick draw technique, of the katana combined with a shunpo making her blade move so fast, it was not visible at all. It was at an angle, which would cut along fenix's left shoulder; if he did not move it could lob off his entire arm. Do to it being a basic fluid motion from sheath to arm, it would be difficult, but not impossible to block partially. Not to mention his shikai capabilities, he could defend by absorbing the kinetic energy, though the slash would still cut deep.

Even as the blade moved, string sired up out of the hilt, rapping around her shoulder and then severing itself like a bandage suppressing the wound, and preventing the blood from bleeding out any more then it already had.

As the strike from Erin’s blade fell, the spider fired out its tail, launching a giant spear, five feet long forward at fenix's back. It would hit on his lower back, if he did not try to move and avoid it to a degree. The spear was laced with a sedative that would make the targets mind go slow, sort of like a giant dose of weed.

((Combo, bankai, ftw. you can avoid if you do it right, well... at least minimize the damage. Don’t think it’s impossible, I could do it with fenix even with out knowing that the spider was behind me.))

“Energy based...isn’t quite right.”

Fenix looked up towards Erin his eyes being as sharp as ever he had been impressed with the increased speed that she had moved at, she was probably moving at a speed that was currently matching his if not a bit faster with her being in Bankai either way it would mean that Fenix would have to take the battle a bit more serious. Her wounds looked serious but she hadn’t lost her am fully like he was expecting so she did better than he thought she would that was good maybe she wasn’t as weak as he was thinking although with the wounds it was hard to judge whether she would be able to use her arm at all and from the blood loss it would soon been over for her. Raising his left hand up energy began to gather in his hand with sparks flying off in different directions before the energy faded away back to nothing again it wasn’t an attack but merely a show of his ability.

“My ability is rather simple...it allows me to use energy and you can figure the rest out yourself.”

With Erin starting her charge and the stance she was taking it was easy for Fenix to figure out what she was planning and that was a quick powerful slash designed to end fights fast, it made sense with the position that she was in a drawn out fight would only play into the hands of him but at the same time rushing straight on at Fenix was also a foolish move and was only playing further into his hands. With a smile forming on his face Fenix closed his eyes moving his right hand down to the tip of his blade, he was finally serious about the fight or so it seemed, at the same time without looking Fenix sent a shockwave out of his left hand towards the direction that the spider was slowing down its attack for a few seconds, he hadn’t looked towards the spider but still seemed to know what it was doing but this had been the same since the start of the fight his senses seemed to beyond what they should be even for an experienced fighter.

“Flash.”

Fenix spoke faintly as a sudden blinding light was released from him it would throw the senses of even the most experienced off for a few split seconds with it being so sudden, it was during this time frame that Fenix made his move quickly drawing his blade in a lightning fast strike his blade running across the chest of Erin as he appeared several feet behind her his back was facing her with his blade being held down towards the ground below them. The aim of his strike was clearly different from the one Erin had tried while she went to hurt Fenix allowing him to dodge he had simply went to severe her in half if she hadn’t evaded then she would end up dead.

“Your body is broken and you grow weaker and slow with each passing second...you can’t come close to matching me Erin and you will fall here...”

As the flash went off, Erin continued her quick strike. A jarring vibration ran up her arm, threw the blade and sent her spinning out of control to the ground. She mad contact with something… but what on earth was it? By god, it was not Fenix himself, no ones skin was that hard…was it a strike he fired back just as she struck out?

The light had blinded her, leaving her with only sound for a few moments. When her sight cleared, she blinked up at fenix. He was in the sky, blade pointed straight down.

The spider dropped from the sky, and landed next to Erin. It nipped her gently with its fangs, dolling the pain from her previous wounds being annoyed by the fall. She sat up, and slowly got to her feet. The energy drain was causing her some issues, which she was only beginning to acknowledge now.

“I…I don’t think I can win…”

“Mistress, child…There is another form, that may give you the upper hand…but at a great cost of your own physical energy…”

“I will take it…if it will allow victory!”

Fenix looked down at both Erin and her zanpaktu spirit, while Erin was close to giving up her zanpaktu spirit was raising her confidence and belief once more which was pretty annoying to Fenix after all he was breaking Erin down for a reason not because it was fun and her spirit was threatening to ruin everything. Still it wasn’t anger that was overwhelming Fenix no it would take far more than that to make him angry instead it was coldness that was coming from Fenix a calculating coldness mixed with his clear killing intent and perhaps this was even more terrifying than him being angry. Despite not being able to feel any spiritual pressure from Fenix Erin and the spider could feel the air in the area become considerably denser with rocks and large boulders beginning to crush under the sheer weight in the air, the amount of reiatsu flowing throughout the area was beyond what one would expect even for a captain.

“I believe this fight is between me and Erin...I advise you to keep your mouth shut.”

Although Erin herself still could not feel anything Fenix purposely channelled a fraction of his reiatsu power along with his killing intent directly towards the spider everything was being focused on her, the spider could feel the sheer colossal amount of reiatsu that Fenix possessed it was a monstrous amount far beyond that of a captain and perhaps even touching on the border of a demi god, the fear being that Fenix was still holding back and perhaps was like a bottomless well of unlimited reiatsu and power. While focusing his power onto the spider Fenix had raised his blade into the air, usually one would be frozen to the spot with the sheer amount of reiatsu being focused directly upon them and it wouldn’t be too much to expect even the most bravest of fighters to be frozen in fear at most she could probably tell that if Erin was to try and match Fenix head on with power alone there could only be one winner.

“Vanish...”

Bringing his zanpaktu down towards the ground with the tip being directed towards the large spider the air around them could be felt bending under the extreme force as a blade of energy cut right through it, the blade of energy had followed the movement of his zanpaktu or to be more precise it had extended the reach of his zanpaktu and the intention from Fenix was clearly to severe the spider in half.
