Really, that's all I can say. Despite being rather disappointed by the animation quality, I still got to laugh at all the adorable moments of the first episode <3 ....Even though I completely don't understand why they made an opening that already contains all the best scenes...

Quick question: How´s the manga compared to this OVA?
Definitely one of its strongest points was the well-placed comedy, still cannot say much about the plot and characters. It was a good start, I guess...
And who says that swearing to be together through sake isn´t a manly thing? ;D
BTW Nao, all right with the world and everything, but you should have your arm bandaged at least.

Underworld mob boss background plot served pretty well as a background even if it wasn't explored much here beyond inheritance and fist fights. Interactions between the two were interesting and paced well. I like how unlike other bl-anime time isnt wasted so much on a main character who is conflicted with feelings of trying to not admit they are in love. Though I can only imagine that is because they were trying to do much with the OVA to cover much of the source material? It was kind of nice and touching. Nao > Ryu due to cooler design and level headed.

Oh and also that action and near ...

Son of yakuza liking his childhood friend... nice? There are some BL moments, but the most surprising thing is that even though yakuza guy is strong, he's not stronger than his childhood friend!! lol @ that hoodie guy (so tennen).

Looks like next ep. will have more exclusive BL moments.

nope. apparently manga was just as nice and drama free. and it's quite short so not much got cut out :3

Very cute. I loved it. I especially like that none of the guys are weepy like the usual uke in animated BL (like eg all the stuff by the creator of Junjou Romantica.. ugh)... and can be quite reversible. Just really loveable characters, even if the story is not too complex.

I remembered I liked the manga as well. I hope they'd make more BL with this kind of characters (but hopefully with more sex and stuff ^^)

Sad it was short and the animation was rather crappy.

It was cute I really liked the story and characters...I agree with myth, it's nice to enjoy an animated yaoi series without any annoying ukes for once. I found an English torrent of it too.

I love it. There's no girly people here and all the people are funny in their own way. The story's simple but enjoyable. I love both Ryu and Nao and they're cute together. For once, there is an uke that's not all sparkly and stuff, and I like the fact that Nao is a levelheaded but kind character while Ryu is sort of childish and brash but sweet and loving of his friend. Yep, I'll wait for the next OVA.

I think the manga is really good, and compared to this OVA they kept it pretty much the same, didn't leave too much out. (the manga is only 6 chapters after all).

I don't know why the animation bothers ppl. I think it's fine. I've seen worse. Besides the animation, I think the story is good and it keeps to the manga. I can't wait for the next OVA to be translated. :P

The animation wasn't a lot better than animix quality if you ask me- they avoided having to animate any movements aside from facial expressions when they could.... Nao's voice annoyed me really bad, it just feels completely out of place.
Even though there wasn't a whole lot to skip they still managed to do it- there was a totally unnecessary OP made of episode scenes + useless ED + next episode preview + after-talk.... that's wasting a lot of episode time.
I'm sure I had more criticism while I was watching- but I can't remember... I'm pretty disappointed, mostly because it's pretty rare that BL manga's like this one get animated (pretty tired of the junjou romantica hype, over-rated much-)

TL;DR
Lacking animation, awkward VA, disappointing, just read the manga... :C
(Don't get me wrong guys, I love BL, but... quality > quantity.... ; n ;)

Aww this was cute, the story and characters are good. The opening and ending was pointless, I think they should've just skipped straight to the story. I'm also glad that there was no weak uke and I just wish the OVA was longer or more episodes. The manga was great too and I can't wait for the next episode!

The story is, I think, faithful to the manga. What disappoints me is the facial design of Naoki. While Ryuu looks almost exactly from the manga, Naoki looks kind of different in almost all angles.

This was soo nice! Somehow I enjoyed way more than the manga.

This was...funny. I think my favorite part is when naoki kicked ryou and he rolled into this...whatever it was. Don't remember what it was but that was funny.


Animation was rather...horrible, but at least the story was decent.

I'm just glad I get another bl to watch. Can't wait for part 2!
