All this time I've wondered why there was no Mahou Shoujo tag. Well it turns out there is

It's just there's only 3 anime listed under it. And not even all the seasons of the ones that are there! I'd go through and add more mahou shoujo shows to the list, but apparently that's not an option for regular users?

I guess to turn this into an actual suggestion I should propose solutions.

- Let people add tags
- Have a way for people to suggest tags to be added, and have mods verify
- Brush the issue away by having a mod go add mahou shoujo tag to the appropriate anime so my interest is pacified

I presume that you're using the wrong term.
Tags --> Genres

Anyway, the ones that you've searched were anime series that has "Mahou shoujo" or its synonyms. Also, "Mahou shoujo" is just a sub-genre of Magic.

no,they actually meant tags. if you look on a anime page below the "my info" section is a "popular tags" section which is what they are referring to..its just not how people generally search for anything on the site

but why did he posted "Let people add tags" when it's accessible with a member access rank?, also the title.

I appologize for my stupidity, but I can't get two things:
1. Can I contribute to popular tags?(I = ordinary user)
2. How can i do it?

Tags aren't something that are actually added to an anime entry. If you want to tag something, you do so while editing individual entries on your list:



That said, tags have not been functioning correctly for years now. You can put whatever you want in that section on your list, but the anime pages themselves won't reflect what you've entered. Old entries retain what tags were there when they were still functioning correctly, and newer entries will always be tagless. Because of this, people tend to use that section for visible personal notes on their lists nowadays.

It's still partially functioning on manga lists in that you can see what people are tagging manga, regardless of how new they are, but you won't actually see those tags on the manga info pages.
