lots of friends tells me to watch this but i have alot to watch already
so i want to know from u guyz if its worth it.

Yeah, I want to know the same. With ongoing shows, at least I can still catch up, instead of waiting and then having to watch a full show, on top of a million other series.

Some people say it's good, others say its bad....

It's allll right. The characters are pretty annoying but some of the fight scenes are pretty cool. I'm thinking about dropping it myself.

Short fat blob and everyone else around him is normal sized, while said short fat blob has a love triangle going on.

Yea, screw that. So far it's the only show this season that's made me feel like dropping it.

I'd say it's good but not very good. It's a bit cliche, yes, but what isn't? I really enjoy the animation, the story is okay, but the characters are kind of annoying. I'd say give it a shot and judge for yourself. It's worth that much at least.

I have to assume you don't keep your list up-to-date if you have too much on your plate already.

Well, there are already a ton of answers above, from people that dislike the show, yet hanging around in the forum of the show itself and probably still watching the show too. ;-)

Personally, I can't stop watching it. It's been a while since I find an anime that I enjoy like Accel World. Having said that, I don't just watch the anime, but also read the manga and the light novel. All of them enrich the franchise more than just the anime alone.There's a reason that the novel received an award despite the criticism here. In the end, you can watch the anime yourself, and judge it yourself, for free. So nothing to lose. If you don't like it, then move on. No harm done. Don't take my nor anybody's word.

I like it, nothing more, nothing less

I stopped at ep 5, not because of the fat appearance of the main character, but his cliche, stubborn, annoying monologues, who starts crying easily, unlocks new power whenever he's about to lose, its very Shounen. But that's just my personal opinion, some people likes it. Otherwise, it has good setting, story development is not really satisfying, good graphics and animation (although I didn't really like the CGI).

Not all that great. I dropped it for a lot of the same reasons some of the posts above are talking about. Not because of his fat appearance but his personality/attitude etc.(basically annoying) and how cliche it was.

Characters being the big part though. If you don't like the main cast of an anime well it's going to be hard to stomach it down and watch it.

Just watch the first episode. Its not like it would be hard =/

Whether or not you like it can pretty much be settled there. I'm gonna bite the bullet here if you can stomach Fatshoe/cartman/Haruwhatshisface then your in for a decent enough anime.

People ESPECIALLY MAL users love throwing around the words "Generic,cliche , and my personal favorite shounen" makes them seem to have a more "refined" sense of taste but really its just the "cool" thing to do. My point is your gonna hear that for just about every anime that is suggested to you so don't take it seriously.

Getting back on topic. If you are an "open minded" person whom holds little prejudices against midgets or fat people, if you can stomach soul crushingly bizarre love triangles , and if you aren't an avid 2d fighter gamer than Accel world is a decent enough action/harem to watch.

Mind you I actually hate this show but don't let that discourage you.

For me, it's not my highlight of this Spring Season but I'm still enjoying.

Right now as the anime it is, I would give the series a 7-8 (depends on how rest of the series progresses)

This anime's forums are so active due to how much we all hate it with a burning passion! All the shining reviews were all falsified because the anime was bad. Hell recommendations/comparisons were even faked to make it seem as though this anime was similar to other great titles. Ohhh the terror.

Then again with your mastery of the English language a bad anime with a simplistic plot may be what you need!

You can be sure it wont ever make any sort of top 10 list of yours. At least not with what it has to offer right now.

Still enjoyable to watch. But if you have a lot of shows to keep up with already, just let this one slide. You wont regret not seeing it.

The Good:
- The show has a fascinating sci-fi setting -- a world where VR is as integrated in society as PCs are today.
- Cute romance
- Fast pace in the beginning

The Bad:
- The MC has an inferiority complex that becomes an annoying, obvious, & unbelievable foil to explain background information.
- Pace is slowing down, story becoming bogged down with cryptic non-sequitors

Not really true. I think quite the opposite. The pace is actually just about right and the settings is even more intricately exposed.
