Probably one of the most epic anime I've seen to date.

WOW!! perfect ending for an epic series, ep#17 and #24 is the best of them all!!

Murdoc was LIKE A BOSS i didn't expect that from him I've always considered him as a jerk
the elders scene was epic too!!
this anime is sooooooo underrated it should be on the top30 instead of fruitu no basket..
10/10 and added to favorite.

When you start thinking about it there were quite a bit of illogical and convenient resolutions.

Like the humans being disgusted with the Mu and how they might be "infected" by them.
You know it's just hard to believe that they would join with the Mu so easily at the end there.

That being said though I still liked (most) of it and the ending was well done.
The thing that I would complain about were the characters themselves.

This is just going to be personal preference but I found the majority of the characters unlikeable.
Characters I didn't like: Matsuka, Pysis, Shiroe, all the Mother systems, the spoiled brats from Nazca.
I'm supposed to feel their death but with these characters it just more of a "oh..." reaction.

Then there's a whole lot of them where I don't know what to feel.
Jomy was unbearable for the majority of the first half.
Keith was a bastard but he succeed in consistently invoking several emotions from me. If we were just looking at characterization then Keith was doing something right unlike the others.
Then there's Tony. I really liked him as a child but as a teenager (? I was confused at how old he was since he had to grow up ~quickly~) i'm not so sure.

I really liked Soldier Blue but his presence was short lived, what shame.

Again mostly personal preferences but characters make it or break it for me. Had they been different I would have probably given this a 10.

I will say that show has peaked my interest in the space opera genre. More reasons for me to check out LotGH now.

It's a shame they chose to end such a great series with a bunch of illogical clichés (as my learned friend above has already pointed out)

I too am extremely frustrated that something with 10/10 potential was treated so carelessly.

Ah well -still a great show in its own right

Best character creations I've ever seen. Hating someone you used to like and liking someone you used to hate. Worst of all the show isn't afraid to butcher the characters you do currently like or make you like them before their death. Sometimes I just wanted to drop the show and take a break because I couldn't handle losing another of my "friends" within the anime QQ
Real Hell is inside a person-Ai Enma (Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae)
Do you know where hell is? Inside your head-Chrona (Soul Eater)
