Ai wants the club to enter the Nebula Cup so they can race in yachts. Kane shows up (as the PE coach) and trains them and puts them through a selection. The selection involves a different type of race and the top three are Natalia, Grunhilde, and Ai. Marika lost but that's actually better because the Nebula Cup association gave her crew a job to watch for any interference at the event, but it appears the association has it out for Hakuoh.

Ai is slowly becoming my favorite character here :)
well she was awesome so why not

plus we had a bit of background on why things look like they do - I hope they explain that treaty thing
and some building up for next arc - so again working as protection :P they have practice

also the beach episode XD but it wasn't abomination like they usually are... I liked it

Yeah, I didn't think this show would result to swimsuit shots and it didn't. It really isn't that type of show.

Kane is a brutal PE teacher.

Ai is by far the best character in the series.

Lol Kane in yankii-mode was fun. Seeing the girls in swimsuits was nice as well. And seeing much more of Ai was GODLY. Seriously, Cutest Helmsman, pardon, helmsLOLI ever

I knew she would be from the moment she first was introduced to the series!

YAY Chiaki-chan is going to be in the next episode!

Also, it looks like it's going to be about protecting Ai while someone else tries to sabotage the race.

Nebulae cup will be fun. Kane was hilarious, Sandaime still has the bears, and Bentenmaru's new job seems compelling. Enjoyed second half of the episode.

The preview for next episode looks intense, wow.

Ai is so cute. Can't wait to see her in the race. Great episode.

Doesn't seem like anybody has anything to say about this guy Ririka saw in the bar. I have my suspicions...

It's so obvious that it hardly seems worth commenting on.

Hmm, I wonder if Kane the coach was a reference to the coach in Gunbuster..

Anyways, very good episode. I really thought that Marika would enter the race too, but I guess she has to focus on her job more now. And never in my wildest dreams did I thought Grunhilde had the right stuff at sailing to actually place second in their 'qualifying' race. I guess the Nebula cup is set to get some added glamour and glitz for their 19th edition with a princess joining as a contestant and another princess being the starter.

Regarding the suspicious dealings between those men in black suits, it looks like were finally heading for some plot heavy episodes. In fact I have a very strong suspicion of who the guy with that hood on is. When Ririka recognised him, she seems to have finally understood why the treaty of non-interference regarding Marika was upheld between the various groups. I hope this portends to the moment that Ririka will be coming back into the pirate world, even if it is just temporarily. Because I would give a lot to watch Blaster Ririka back in action :-)

Unfortunately, another episode with zero Chiaki-chan quota. Too bad she wasn't here to enjoy Kane treating the girls for some parfaits at the Lamp House. Well, at least in the previews Chiaki-chan is back and looks like she's gonna be in the thick of the action too in the next episode. Now, it's just gonna be another long wait for next week..

I hope that the hooded one is not Marika's father - but maybe some friend of his, brother or one who was working with him. Somehow Dad coming back from the dead is weird idea... but if handled right than maybe
plus rest of them - some big family? fan club :> it seems that even the crew is involved in working with them

Kane was badass this episode. Look at that body of his (in a speedo o.o)!! XD

Aw this show is just so good, even a beach episode is something else compared to usual shit.
Kane made my day, and Ai became one of best characters. Also the guy with a hood in the bar is most probably Marika's father. If it really is so i wish we'll get to see some more of him.
Next episode looks great, can't wait for Nebula Cup.

Ive been scared dat Kane man throng was to much and then they made it worst with that back shot, other that that this ep was pretty good wonder who after marika again and who that guy was in the hood.

Good to know that Satou can still give a little love to Gunbuster. Fun episode.
