THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Really like the idea of anime versions of ancient epics. I found this quite a disjointed watch though, but I guess that's to be expected given the nature of the material; they're packing a lot of stories in, sometimes summarised by narration, so it's hard to get a feel for the characters. I don't think it would be fair to be more critical! Watch if you're curious and want a crash course in Ramayana... If you're thinking of watching, beware it's not all like the (more typically anime) opening scenes. |
