So I just finished ME3.

There was a lot of hate to this end. Tell me why?

To be honest it was pretty much ok, just would have liked a longer cinematic and a bit more depth to the choice at the end rater than 2 minuets of crappy CGI, 5 minuets of credits and then 30 seconds of more shitty CGI.

This was the weakest game in the series on so many levels and if I go into them now this is going to end up a tL;dr.

most people were mad because there was no choice really to the endings, all 3 were the same, with different colors. and the same thing pretty much happened for all 3 of them, the Normandy getting stuck on some planet and all the mass relays blow up.

it was pseudo choice really. all your actions leading up to the ending had no real weight, it was just another simple choice of red green or blue.

but i would have to say it was the best game in the series in terms of gameplay. it was much more smooth and fluid. i played as a vanguard. charge + nova combo had me hooked like cocaine.

and i chose the blue ending, to control the reapers, idk playing god sounds fun why not? it was a renegade play through so saving anything was against my wishes muhahaha

Wait there was three endings? I only got two choices.

Thats sounds pretty lame if it's the same ending. What the fuck.

And I disagree, ME1 was the best game in the series for me. I felt I had way more control over my powers, my team and my characters development. I just wished they'd improved the graphics and made it a bit more like Skyrim, in that adventuring the galaxy was the main reason I loved this game, and they got rid of that in favour of scanning shit.

I didn't "choose" an ending. I didn't play multiplayer, so that was one choice already locked. After that, I had no idea what the hell the colors meant, so I just started shooting the one on my right.

...I think that was the "blow shit up" ending.

yes there are 3 endings

yes they are all the same

ME3 had best gameplay

ME1 had best storyline and characters

exploring galaxy was boring, because every planet was a re-skinned repeat

I put too much effort in to getting the Geth on my side to simply blow them up, so I went with the other ending. It was a bad conclusion to such a good storyline.

There's only 1 choice : Destroy.

The other 2 proves that you didn't pay attention to the story.

So I just finished ME3.

Short version : Massive plots holes, inconsistencies, things happens that ignore the lore of ME, stupid logic, no real choices, not enough closure, everything done in ME1/ME2 is irrelevant, Starbrat invalidates the whole plot of ME1, etc.

Ok

That's shit

No ME2 was better for Gameplay, and ME1 actually made having powers ability and assigning powers make sense. I felt like I was actually in control of my team and not just pew pew pew pew the whole time

I agree

And that's because it was a new idea, they should have used the techniques they learned in 2 to make the galaxy exploration better, duh.

"What ending"? I'm not sure I understand the question...

And really, just read the hundred ME3 threads we've got, I think everyone's explained sufficiently why the ending sucks Krogan balls, all four of them, at the same time.

What I meant was, I think ME1 had better game play, As for as using your powers, using your team by command, and feeling like each fight was a sort of strategy. I also preferred not having to pick up ammo and having a running meter so you could just sprint forever.

I thought ME2 and 3 were bascially the same, and I got fed up of in 3 the being forced to take cover every time you his a wall. Which was why I thought the game play in 2 was better because it was basically identical but without that.

I always wished they kept ME1 system but tried to improve it instead of changing it into a Gears of Effect... It felt more RPGish. ME2 on insanity was just annoying, you had to destroy each type of ''shield'' before being able to use certain biotic and tech power which is the reason why I will never play a pure biotic in ME2, it's just shit and annoying. ME3 fixed some of ME2's combat problem, the guys no longer have millions of ''shield'' to break.

For me, The whole thing that made Mass Effect a game I loved was the exploration. Though samey, I loved shutting to a planet, exploring in the rover, finding new stuff, exploring the galaxy!!!

Thats what I loved about that game, I hoped they would just improve the locations with ME2, and they did. But then they got rid of the rover. Which was a dick move.

I hoped they might make it more like Elite, and bring in some trade, get some intergalactic Nexus shopping and travelling and gun smuggling and drugs selling and sex in. I had High hopes.

I even hoped they might make mine space battles outside of orbit, I hoped they might even let you control a shuttle from space down to the planet and then roam around in the rover and fly back All in a decent real time way.

But then ME2 came out.....oh well. The end of ME2 I had still so many sub missions to do, it was fine. Off I went scanning planets, enjoying the exploration, finding new bases, fighting geth and so on. Even though the main mission was done I had so much to do!!!

So, I hoped ME3 would be better......oh well. No missions, no planet exploring, no finding some secret bases and fighting some geth. No fucking fuck all. Nothing, just scan shit, send a probe. Wow it's fucking nothing. The few combat missions you do go on are all scripted and part of the plot. Fuck that. I want to find some secret bases of rebels, or some shit.

I WANT TO EXPLORE THE GALAXY THE WAY SKYRIM FAGS AND FALLOUT FAGS GET TO EXPLORE THEIR WORLDS.

Fuck you.

I did finally get laid though, but not with an alien.
