Nice to see that the angel-theme with quincies is continued and Allon, considering he was strong enough for yama to step in is quite frankly thing I hoped to see again.

So I guess the forms those "quincies" use are closer to the Magic Hunters of the old.

now I would not be surprised if Royal Realm is indeed a jail. If "quincies"/Magic Hunters ruled SS before shinigami and shinigami overtook them, somehow sealing in the "Soul King" and keeping him sealed through some means(feeding the lock shinigami?) it would certainly explain it all. It would also explain the angel-like appearance of quincies, including the idea of them using archery(the thing associated with angels) as well as why shinigami are thematically "demonic" in contrast to "angelic" quincies.

So I guess the "magic hunters" are the original Archangels and quincies are in sense, their servants, humans given angelic power, just like in the actual hebrew lore.

Which makes his eyes fit too, since anyone who looks upon archangel would either go insane or get his eyes burned out by the horrifying presence in the mythos.

Also gotta love smart and stable Ichigo. He is not even going bankai yet and the whole thing did not even seem to injure him and he is trying to find out stuff about whose quincies, etc. so he does not have to make the first move, nor rush blindly.

Hmm. It was good and entertaining.
I liked how Opie commented that executioners should look horrifying.

That Quincy bankai isn't eerie at all, it makes him look more like a campy villain with those wings and shoes. His eyes are really creepy, on the other hand.

I got a "Tower of God" feeling from this chapter,
pretty good. Best of the big three this week, weird.

Now... I wonder what kind of power up will Ichigo get >_>

"mugetsu" that is not achieved by FGT, as parallel to Ishida getting his own unlimited final form.


I am still convinced that Ichigo's strongest form will be used to break into the royal dimension to fight the king as the very end of the arc(as Ichigo's powers have been shown to be very effective in cutting through various dimensional barriers)

I thought it was Grimmjow who finally showed up but it turns out to be just Ayon and the three girls are still not down lol

Is this just going to be the norm for this arc? Some new attack gets built up to be powerful and than does nothing? Because it's getting annoying and this is only the second time it's happened. Than again, it was annoying the first time it happened too.

Did Ichigo try to cut his head and he said "you should aim before slashing"? Wow. making him so strong and then bringing back three stooges. what kubo is thinking? That was almost time for grimmjow.

You mean he could use Mugestu without FGT? So then what was unique about the FGT?

That Ayon won't do probably nothing...
Still waiting for Grimmjow to appear.
