According to Manga Time Kirara magazine, manga "K-ON!" was announced to end next month. There have been two parallel serializations of K-ON!: the college arc on Kirara and the high school arc on Kirara Carat. It's unclear if the high school arc will be concluded as well.

That's a surprise, both new serializations haven't been going for very long if I'm right. I haven't even started reading them though. Does anyone knows how many chapters there have been in both 'new' serializations?

Time to start reading it.. or maybe not.

Manga was worse than anime, so I won't really miss it.. Not couting my cute Ricchan and Yui :(
Now I'm looking forward to the movie, maybe third season after that? :3

Kakifly would get exhausted and tired. He started making the story on his own pace. Fortunately Kyoto Animation made its Anime and brought the big bang boom. But unfortunately, the boom forced him to make more additional stories. He might not expect such circumstances.

He should have a rest for a while.

I've been saving the series for future reading. How do the chapter numbers used online relate to there being two series? What am I saving?

Yeah, about time. The "storyline" was getting stale

Yeah, I basically see this being the case too. Kakifly probably never intended to go beyond high school, or to have a separate storyline about the new third years. But hey, it pays the bills.

Now that Kakifly has created this framework, it should be a piece of cake for KyoAni to flesh it out. I mean, they already did so hugely (and successfully) for the original 4koma. They've got such a great grasp of the characters and who they are that I don't think they need a large amount of source material. Just get some direction from Kakifly and have at it. Probably not in the short-term though, since they just came off of the insanely successful movie and have some other things lined up.
