Hey guys, I just figured out how to get to the forums and post. Anyway I'll list all the horror animes I loved in order of how much I liked them:

Shingetsutan Tsukihime, Mirai Nikki, School Days, Denpa teki na Kanojo, Another, Elfen Leid.

There are probably more that I've seen but I don't know if they count as horror.. As you can see though, almost all of those have some romance. What other dark romances are there? Preferably slice of life, not like too much fantasy because that kinda throws me off.

u might wanna try kurozuka it was a decent horror/romance. watched it a looong time ago tho so i dont remember how good compared to the ones u listed.

also its not horror but its a badazz anime lots of violence and twisted goodness with romance and tragedy, phantom requiem for the phantom.

Manga:

Uzumaki - Its about how spirals take over a small sea-side town. It doesnt sound scary but this manga had some really freaky, disturbing images.

Mermaid saga - the couple are immortal but that doesnt stop others from trying to kill them in the weirdest ways. plus there's murderous mermaids
