Wow it was a great episode.
Mutta is so funny and a great big brother.

I am glad that Masa Hoshika is trying to give Mutta a fighting chance to be an astronaut.

Hibito and Mutta just keep grown on me.

If you had a jerk of a boss who is like a bully i would too headbutt him so i am on Mutta side.

Can wait for next ep.

Beautiful episode! I know Mu-kun's gonna get in :3

I can't wait till Mutta falls prey to Hibito's taunting. A competition btwn them will be awesome<3

They added a lot that wasn't in the manga, but its all been great stuff :)

Finally caught up with the translations so all new stuff (for me) from here on out.

I wonder if Hibito will leave Earth before Mutta finds out if he passed?

Another amazing episode, this is one of the series that can always make you smile, and the end where Hoshika was revealed to be the guy the whole time just gave me one of those creepy grins that you get when something awesome or just nice happens.

Mutta is such a nice big brother, want to have big brother like Mutta
I guess successful people have that tendency Mutta and Hibito has
I really like Hoshika as well, that kind of person never fail to amaze me
This anime is so amazing

Great series
so slow and taking it's time to show us the details
I like this :)

plus awesome characters - ok Mutta as Hibito not 100% (I would go for 80-90%)
and those side ones

Great episode. I love their use of flashbacks to elaborate the brothers' relationship, however convenient. I too am glad Mutta has someone willing to go out of his way to help him.

It's nice to see how supportive Mutta's former colleagues are. While he still have a long way to go at least the latest obstacle got removed.

Fantastic episode.
We find out their was actually a connection between the Jaxa guy and the brothers. Plus we get a nice flashback to see how seriously they took their dreams of being an astronaut! I mean sheesh! Every lecture they could go to possible and they even memorized the script for the guide tour! Mutta is just a awesome character and it really does show how great of a big brother he is in this as well!
I was wondering if Mutta had some talent that we hadn't seen yet either and apparently he does! Like someone posted earlier his sense of detail is just phenomenal! Anyways I can't wait for next week! Really want to see how it plays out and if this "violent" act of his can be justified so Mutta can follow his dream of becoming an astronaut!
Touch me, you filthy casual~

Really should have expected that reference check to go against Mutta. So glad for that guy from JAXA though who has had his eye on Mutta and Hibito since they were space-nut kids. I hope he can convince everyone that Mutta is perfectly fine to become an astronaut.
Also, I love Hibito's dog, he sure adopted Mutta quickly. Crawled right under the covers with him. So cute.

I love this show. The flashbacks make it all the more better.

And headbutt ftw. XD ( I loled when he said, "thirteen year olds have a lot to deal with.")

It's strange how the characters are not the usual kind I like, but I find Hibito and Mutta so humorous and fun that I can't help but grin at them.

5/5 like always. One of my favorites this season.

lmao i couldn't stop laughing xD!

But this has got to be one of the best series this season, i just like how it slowly opens up until Mutta gets to Hibito's level :D

And i guess his Headbutts has a connection from when he was born the Zidane Headbutt xD

But wow this 23 minutes seriously felt like it was less that 5 minutes long >_>

The intro as always, never gets old for me and still listens too it id honestly want the full version :(

But now another week of waiting >_< this sucks..

Probably my favorite episode so far. Thought it was cool to see just how successful Hibito has been, plus the ongoing fight for Mutta to make it to his level. Maybe I've just finally gotten all the way into this show, because I guess this wasn't too different from all of the other episodes. Either way, next week's ep should be great.

Hey everyone. I'm new to MAL. Hope to get to know you all better :)

I've seen my fair share of anime but this is the first time I've ever wanted to re-watch an episode immediately after! I'm really enjoying everything that Space Brothers has to offer, especially how inspiring it is. I feel a bit proud being on a mechanical engineering course. Following the footsteps of Mutta :D

Another great episode that brings a smile to your face :)

The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

Love that Mutta has so many people who support him behind the scenes.

How can an anime start off so good and become even better? Mutta is an awesome character. Hibito too, he's the one motivating Mutta so much.

Think this is slowly becoming my favorite this season.

This episode just makes me give a good ol' brofist to the JAXA guy and Mutta's former coworkers.

I really admire Mutta's courage to headbutt his boss (or is it courage, or some other word?). As demonstrated before, it can easily come back and bite you in the future. It's great that Mutta knows other people who are willing to stick up for him. Just makes me wanna brofist his former coworkers, and the JAXA guy.

This episode had a lot of great one-liners or otherwise memorable lines. Apo was adorabubs, as fleeting as his role this episode was. And I can hardly wait for next episode. As others have said, it's mostly a foregone conclusion, but seeing the tension during this obstacle - battling the shitty reference and convincing the other selectors to keep Mutta in the running - is what I look forward to the most.

Yeah nice to see an open minded man. I hate it ho many change people so easily by events they know so little about.

Great grown-up slice-of-life as usual. The JAXA examiner is a very good addition to the series.

"That means you headbutted the earth." This one was awesome indeed.

Hey, welcome to MAL!

6 episodes in, and this is already a contender for best anime of the season. Either this or Kids on the Slope.
Really, can it get any better?

Awesome episode, this show is probably my favorite this season, although Fate/Zero part 2 is also very good, but I don't count that one as a show of this season.

Really, can it get any better?

Yesterday I watched episode 2 of Kids on the Slope. I like the music part, but I'm not sure about the romance, the animation style puts me off.
It's really unique, but I can't seem to like. I'll probably watch episode 3 today.

Inspiring as usual. Flashbacks really showed the depth of brothers' relationship.

And Hoshika, you're a true bro.

I really liked this episode.

The relationship of the brothers is too cool ... I'm enjoying very much like the producers are making the switch moments of flashback and present while allowing the feeling that history is being hampered by that.

Another great episode. I love them all wtf :P
I seriously thought Hibito was just showing off for Mutta but I guess not ... seems like even Jennifer noticed Mutta's amazing ability with details. I mean like, two seconds?! That's pretty amazing O_O
Glad to have someone on Mutta's side ... even knowing them from when they were kids! Afro and Spiky ... nice ;P Going to every presentation and knowing all the lines ... wow. That is some dedication right there. I LOVED when Mutta headbutted the bullies for his brother ... he's such a nice guy :') Headbutting the Earth as you fall huh? Such a touching episode :3
Looks like they're going to give Mutta a fighting chance after all, but the preview doesn't seem to inspire much confidence ...

Wow, I love seeing Mutta's strengths shown in this episode. It's pretty cool having great memorization skills (which I lack) and precision (which I also lack).

Even though I expected the fire extinguisher robber to appear, it was still a surprise.

Really nice episode. Hoshika is just awesome, and his last line of the episode brought a smile to my face, which is something the series just seems to do really well on a whole from what I've seen so far.

This Matera sounds like a very ugly person. He insults peoples' families then tries to ruin their lives if they get ticked off about it? Ugh. It's hard to empathize with someone like that.

Still, I'm glad Mutta's colleagues are sticking up for him. It turns out one of the judges for JAXA has a connection to him, too. I'm fairly certain at this point that he'll make it, but that's okay: I'm loving the progression. The pacing in this is perfect.

Also, lol@ Japanese on American TV. I suppose I'll have to get over that. xD

Mr. Hoshika having favoring the brothers, because he knows them well if quite fortunate to Mutta
To investigate further on by meeting his former co-workers seems quite unusual
Nicknaming Hibito "Tsun" and Mutta " Moja" reminded me of this scene:
Moja Moja no Mori
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGgdxlx5E8Y

The scenes at Houston with Mutta having a different view of his brother was nostalgic with his perception coming from his youth
Hibito gaining his competitiveness after talking to Mutta was nice to see
Apo is a really cute pet, although his name keeps giving me more of this image than the men in black dog:

Please come again
