A warm evening glow cast itself over Miikaru High, as the students made their way home or to their respective clubs. Numerous voices filled the air, as they discussed their plans for the rest of the day.

Hikaru sat alone in the school libary, reading silently to himself. The book was entitled 'The Tale of Genji', a classic and a personal favourite. He flicked the page absentmindedly, as he absorbed himself in the story.

Nearby, a small group of boys looked on, with happy faces. While it was generally believed that, dispite his appearances, Hikaru was indeed male as he claimed, a small group denied this fact. They argued that there was no way a boy could have a face like that, and stuck to this statement.

Hikaru found them quiet annoying.

"Their watching you, ya know? Your fanboys" rang a voice inside his head. It was inti, his Patron. Who had found the whole situation amusing. Hikaru chose to ignore him, and continued reading.

"You should go over and say high. I'm sure they'd love it"

"Shut up"

"Please accept my offer!"

"Thank you, but I must decline"

"Akira-sama, please date me" Akira gently smiled at the guy, who had the geekiest clothes known to man, and politely decline him just like the rest of the guys that tried to ask to date her.

Even in the morning, boys flock over her, but Hime was too nice to harshly tell then to back off. So every day, Hime had to endure the countless declarations of love from multiples guys.

'You should just use them to your biddings Hime's patron, Poseidon suggested. Hime ignored her the Greek god's suggestion like every other word that comes out of his mouth.

She was grateful for Poseidon saving her, but most of the times it feels more of a burden.

Excusing herself, she sighed in relief when she got further away from the overcrowding boys. Putting her earphones on, Hime let the music flood her ears, not hearing anything from
anyone, including her patron.

"Here's the school..." Fumika said quietly while entering the gates. People might find it weird for a girl like her to be dressing like that, then again, people might think she's the mail"man".
"You think we'll find Mei here?" Kanaka asked in her usual cheery tone.
"Maybe" Fumika said shrugging it off. "Besides, there's a soul I'm here to collect" she said entering the front lobby. She felt some ghost energy radiating from the library.
She asked where the library was and was directed promptly. She headed there and when she opened a door, the first thing she saw was a girl sitting at a desk reading a book.

Hikaru was nearing the end of his book, flicking through the last couple of pages as the tale ended. He really did love this book. There was something about it that just drew him in.

He smiled as he finished reading, closing the covers with a satisfied look on his face. Hikaru looks out the window, resting his chin of a hand. He knew he should return the book to its shelf, put didn't feel like getting up.

The sun was high in the sky, and Hikaru enjoyed the warm glow of sunlight as it beamed through the window. Maybe it was because his Patron was a Sun God, but ever since he formed the contract, the feeling of sunlight was more pleasant than he ever cared to remember.

"Hikaru..."

"I know. A Contractee"

Down the hallways walking to leave the school for the day was a solitary man. The young man in question was hoping to finish out his senior year in peace. His name was... what was his name again? That's the problem with this guy isn't it? When he really wants to he can almost perfectly blend into in secnery or populace without exception... almost like MAGIC!

But for those who did know him he was referred to as Snow, the strange and somewhat wealthy transfer student from America who had recently been traveling abroad in a myriad of countries and learning twice as many languages and cultural lifestyles along the way.

Though you'd think he'd be more popular because of his many interlopings... no it wasn't that he didn't look nice. With is rich blonde hair and icy blue eyes seemed to stare in tyour soul, he was quite the lady killer. But because of his less than outgoing and cold nature, he's more or less the 'unappraochable school prince'.

Thus why he walks alone to school on this fine morning...

Fumika looked around as she entered the library. She figured that the only one in the library was the girl looking out the window. She looked through the shelves of books homing in on the presence of the lost soul. She felt Ghost Energy emitting from the girl back over.
"You don't think it's her do you?" Kanaka asked.
"Shh... Keep quiet. It's a library you know" Fumika said. "We'll just have to find out" she said as she approached the girl sitting glaring at the window. "Excuse me... Can you move to your left a bit?" she asked.

"I sense another Cotractree..." Poseidon's voice rang through her mind and Hime could t deny it somehow caught her interests. She didnt thought that there were others like her, chooses by a god or goddess.

Poseidon's words still echoed through her mind as she went to the library. As she opened the door, she could feel another power like hers radiating somewhere in the room.

With senses high, she wandered through the library, gazing over the titles, hoping one would catch her eye. When her eye did caught something it wasn't a book, but a guy, who was finishing a novel. She could tell it was a guy, despite his feminine features.

"A tale of Genji, huh?" Hime had read that book before and it truly was a good book. But there was something else about him that makes Hime very alert. But Hime dismissed it and made her way over to the guy sitting next to the window.

"May I seat here, as well?" Hime asked. Apparently, she wasn't the only one sitting next to the silent boy.

Snow walked down the hallway careful to avoid any detection from ANYONE... until he just so happened to pass by the library! He stopped by the door and stood at its side eavesdropping on the 3 contactees he sensed within. Not only could he sense that there were '3' he could tell you their aprroximate location, body temperature, approximate weightt, and the way the smell... hge was a PERFECT Hunter...

Hikaru, his peaceful wonderings interrupted, turned from the window towards the two girls that had walked up to him. Both of them contractees, he noted. He smiled at them. A friendly smile that wasn't really ment.

"Don't mind me, Go ahead" he says, compling with thier wishes, moving slightly to the left.

"Thank you" Fumika said as the glass portion of her staff disappeared. Kanaka had disappeared into necklace form and her staff portion grew a large scythe blade. Fumika pulled upward and swung down onto the empty seat. She pulled it back towards her, surprisingly, it didn't slice through the chair or the table. It just went cleanly through as if it were a ghost. Then, the faint groaning of a ghost was heard and it soon disappeared into traces of fog. A light purple mist lingered, and soon it was absorbed into the necklace Kanaka.
"Another soul sent..." Fumika said silently as Kanaka returned to normal form.

Snow sniffed the air, he could smell what kind of contractees they were... kinda.

The 3 did have VERY distinct scents about them, such as the girl who had oh so stealthily 'released' something (he couldn't tell what, his powers were limted to things only of flesh and blood!). The girl with the 'scythe' like weapon he heard swipe, she absolutely REEKED with the smell of death: It was like a cross between the smell of fresh roses and the sickly sweet smell of rotting meat.

The other girl... had a very curious smell. The only thing he could pick up on her was a cross between 'ocean breeze' laundry detergeant and low-tide. She was quite a queer smelling one, he couldn't tell if it was a 'friendly' or not. Because he was forbidden to hunt or fight another Dragonslayer if she was indeed one, or if she was a Legion they had a cease-fire as of late called the 'White Contract', and/or she was a Natura... it was frowned upon to prey upon the weak.

The final person, was a young man not unlike himself in age and stature. But the had the most recognizable smell of them ALL! He smelled not like 'death' so much as Human Blood, and I mean GALLONS of it! Almost as if actually BATHED in it. Snow to say the least was rather repulsed... yet intrigued.

Albus walks around inside the library...alone. He has the slightest bit of sadness inside for being different. Not only did he make a contract with a god but he was younger then all the other students at his school. "Albus you really must become open with somebody. You humans are social people you will suffer without friends." Albus listened as his Patron spoke to him. "I understand that sir but everyone finds me different, nerdy and weird." "Albus your not different or weird your more intelligent then most of them." Albus smiles a bit at that. "Thank you." Albus picks up a series of book from the mythology section. "How is this one about." "Norse sir." Albus sits down and starts reading.

The guy's smile did not reach his eyes, but Hime did not make any comment on it. Who was she, a stranger, to tell him that he should not act and be himself?

"Thank you..." Gently sitting down, she pulled out a book, Dantes Inferno, from her bag and was about to start reading.

"Be careful with them for I sense a lingering power on both persons" She could hear the venom on the words, the disgusts as if speaking to a lowlife. It was no mystery that Poseidon alon with his brothers and sisters hated any lowly gods or goddesses beneath them. Hime couldn't understand why, but did not probe the sea god.

"I will be careful..." Even after her conversation with Poseidon, she couldn't helps, but look at he two people in front her. She was curious as to what had made he patrons to choose them.

Everybody in class 2A was talking about the newest acquisition of the school,that was making her entrance.

"Have you seen her?" a blonde girl asked.
"Yes!She is very pretty,with twin red tails!" a girl with a blue ponytail responded.
"Ah,look,she is there!" a boy with black hair whispered,pointing to a girl with glasses walking in the yard.

Who is the girl?Her name is Vernika Answer,a British transfer student for the now burned West Hampshire.

Vernika took a glance at the class,and smiled.She didn't bothered to go to class;she climbed to the rooftop.There,she lays on the ground,taking her glasses off.

"Zeus..." she murmurs,looking at the clouds.A beard figure is formed out of the vapors on the cerulean blue sky.
"Veronica." the figure smiles.
"I sense four." the girl speaks,closing her eyes.
"Are you afraid?" the King asks his maiden.
"Not at all." Vernika replies smiling.Opening her eyes,she completes her sentence;"Afterall,the King of Gods is my partner."

Hikaru just stared at the girl standing before him, more that a little confused and shocked by her actions. I mean, she had just swung a scythe at a chair. In School. He didn't care about her reasons, but it was just plane wierd.

He patron echoed his thoughts. "Strange Girl" Inti said, the voice ringing inside Hikaru's head.

"Indeed" he whispered back.

Still leaning against the wall, just outside the door to the library. Sno closed his eyes and breathed evenly and whispered a name "Skadi..." he said.

He then felt a whisper in his ear, almost like a lover she spoke oh so softly and seductively "You wish to speak with me now young Snow? You should call more often... I get lonely easily"

He didn't have to give any assent, he turned red slightly from embarassment as he pushed forth saying "Milady, you and I know better: We don't get lonely as long as there is SOMETHING to hunt..."

He just imagine the soft grin on her beautiful pale face as she said "You grown my young Hunter... I will listen to your request, what is it that you want?"

He then said "There are few contractees here that are starngers to me... may I hunt, my goddess?"

She paused as her conciousness touched his and she started 'tuning in' with his 5 senses, she then said "The one who smell of death and the one who smells of blood are fair game... but leave miss low-tide alone. She may be an ally and I'd hate to be the one to violate the White Contract, even though she smells so DISGUSTING!"

Snow picked up on the venom in her voice regarding the contractee of some Sea God/Goddess. He'd been doing his homework lately and knew about her 18 day marriage to Njord the God of the Sea... so he kept his mouth shut and instead said "Yes milady... anything else to add?"

She then purred into his ear "These are not base prey my Hunter... proceed with caution and guile, and may my blessing go with you Snow"

And with that her voice left, and he was alone... like a hound hunting coneys.

Zeus smiled brightly,with arrogance and some kind of affection at her words.Suddenly,he felt a presence."Hooh,it seems there are five players there now." the King spoke.
"Who is the fifth?" Vernika asked,opening her eyes.
"Skadi's little knight." Zeus grinned terrifyingly.
"Hooh,I can't lay hands on him then..." Vernika pouted a little."Meh.whatever!Let's burst inside the playground,it's adventure time!" she grinned,after a second.
"You know,Veronica,I'm glad I were the one to find you.The perfect balance of strength,wisdom and madness;I'm glad I could find such a suitable protegee." the King spoke,before his figure vanished.
Vernika smiled,as she put her glasses in her pocket."I'm glad I met you too,King of Gods." she whispered,before leaving for the library.

"I can sense them...." Hime whispered, closing her book as she watch the door of the library.

' I can sense my brother...

"Is it Zeus or Hades?"

"I don't care, but the game will soon begin" Hime couldn't help, but pull a sly smile.

"Maybe this time, I will actually follow you..."

"Good, for I did grow tired of your pitiful kindness!" Hime did not flinch at his harsh statement. She simply looked at the good things in life, but even the angel can be a reaper.

"There seem to be 5 others" A voice rang in Fumika's head.
"You don't say Izanami?" Kanaka asked. Fumika's eyes shot open. She immediately felt the 4 other Conatractees presences, though she didn't know what kind of contracts they formed.
"Wh-why didn't I feel it before?" Fumika asked.
"Because Ghost Energy masks their presence from you." Izanami said.
