Nausicaä Trinity

"So you have an issue with trust? Not to worry, after all...Trust has to be earned." she mused.

Seeing that she had no other option she had to sign the contract regardless.

"I will sign the first part for now, I want to know what 'favours' you want me to perform and what 'valuable' information I am getting in return."

She took the contract from him and stared blankly at it.

"Invisible ink...What's the catch?" she asked him cautiously.

Susumu Otonashi

"Ehehehe, so you do have some smarts about the world after all lady~" Susumu knew she was smarter than an average person in the way of being cautious at least. He could use that.

"Invisible ink...What's the catch?" She asked him

"Man, you are pretty~ stupid. I thought I told you, you sign it, I sign it, we both get what we want at the same time. Simultaniously. Get it? That invisible ink is only invisible until the contract is signed by both parties. And of course, it will sign over the favors as well~"

Licking her popsicle, Nana finally came to terms with her reality. There were people around her. She had to be careful... always careful. She slowed her pace and made sure to be more alert- although the frozen cream on her tongue distracted her with deliciousness. She continued walking down the main street of Blues City.

"I'm aware of that part." she stated simply.

She was never one for words after all and most insults deflected off her.

"I'm referring to the legally binding parts. And the rest that goes with it."

Nausicaä was a mercenary and even she would be hesitant of signing a contract that did not state the legally binding documentations.

Susumu Otonashi

"Legaly bound? Sorry girl, but I'm not the govenrment. I don't even want to think about those bland uninteresting politicians. I perfer my own law, what doesn't get me killed and is profitable is lawfull anything else, not so much. I judge everyone according to my own law. I assume that how you think as well, eh?"

She looked at him silently and took in the words.

"I understand, if I sign this contract, know that I do this only for information and in return you get your two favours. Nothing more, nothing less. If you try to twist the contract in any way I will kill you."

Her stern gaze fell on his eyes, piercing into his soul, she was serious.

"I hope you have the same mutual understanding as I." she said coldly.

Susumu Otonashi

"Oohh ho ho there. Well.... I don't quite think I can die yet, so the same goes for you too there missy." Susumu didn't quite think she could kill him, and he didn't really feel like killing her today, that would just be dissapointing. Finding a girl so interesting as her then having to kill her in the same day? Just plain depressing, but nothing he would lose sleep over at the same time.

"So, are you prepaired to make the contract?"

Nausicaä knew he would underestimate her abilities, partly because she was female.
The foolishness would be on his behalf.

She prolonged her gaze at him for a few seconds before she nodded.

*I cannot Die yet either.* she thought.

"So what kind of...Favours do you want me to carry out?"

Susumu Otonashi

Susumu was not underestimating this girl at all, mainly playing cautiously. He didn't really care if his opponent was a man or a woman, he was indifferent to the genders. But, knowing this girl, he was more cautious around her then others.

"Ohhhh~ You don't want to spoil the supprise prematurely do you? You're no fun at all~"

"Tch." she spat

"I hate surprises." she muttered.

*Looks like he's the best source...so far. I guess I'm gunna have to trust him... for now*

She drew closer to him.
With a flick of her wrist she withdrew a gold fountain pen embroidered in an assortment of gemstones.

"Where do I sign?" she asked him expectantly.

Susumu Otonashi

This girl sure was confident. Looks like she would be ready to sell her soul to the devil if she would get what she wanted from it, though, this wasn't that different at all, now was it.

"Oohhh, we're gonna need something a bit more..... binding, then ink, now aren't we? Surely you don't trust your life to a simple chemical equation, now do you?" Susumu whiped out his knife in the blink of an eye, making a small prick on his hand. He took put away his knife and took out his fountain pen, drawing his blood into the pen.

He held up the pen for her to see, a drop of blood still hanging from it "This, is what us real brokers use."

Her eyes narrowed.

Binding in blood was an oath that could never be re-written, just as well, she was not the type to go back on her word.

In a flash she had drawn her sword and made a clean slice on one of her fingers, she let the blood ooze to the tip of her finger, where it dropped with 'splish' 'splash' sounds.

She drew the blade close to her face and with one motion she licked the blood on the blade cleanly off before sheathing her weapon again.

"Will this do?" she held out her crimson coloured fingertip.

Susumu drew out one of his other fountain pens "Wouldn't want to bloody that fancy pen of your now, hmm?"

He stooped down and wrote his name on the paper, he then looked up at Trinity "It's your turn now missy~"

She grasped the pen from his hand and smeared her blood into the ink slot.

"Indeed that would be very...Unwise."

She looked at the contract a final time.
Then she reached out for it and grasped it in her hands.

*This better be worth it.* she thought.

She took the pen and scribbled a complex, unforgeable signature on the paper next to Susumu's.

When she was done she stepped back and still holding the pen, she crushed it in her hands effortlessly until it became fine dust at her fingertips.

"I hope you don't mind, I prefer to keep my blood samples."

Most of the people who had made this contract with him did the same thing with the pen as well. It was getting to be a real pain in the ass to have to buy another pen each time. Susumu didn't care for bloodsamples, he already knew who Trinity was and could make a guess about her rank but not much else.

"Ohhhoohooo there, a bit rash with other peoples things, aren't we?"

The contract had now been signed by both parties and would soon take effect.

"If it bothers you so much I'll pay you back, unless you still have that money issue?"

She looked at the contract expectantly, waiting for words to appear.

"So what happens now?"

Susumu Otonashi

The contract began to glow and was encircled with magic seals. It was profitable to be a bit removed from the dregs of society, having it barren of bystanders. It had been quite a long time since Susumu had made a contract with anyone, he never found anyone interesting enough.

"Sooooo, now I shall receive my favors and you shall receive your information~"

"Absolutely, once I see the information of course."

*Seals huh? Interesting* she thought.

She waited for the words to appear on the contract.
