This post meant to show everyone what the procedures are to get synopses from this club to the synopsis section of a particular item.

Here is the simplified general procedure from writer to MAL DB:

1. Writer claims an item in the Project Status thread
2. Coordinator assigns the synopsis to a first level editor (usually the one with the least workload at the time).
3. Coordinator edits the project status thread.
4. Writer writes the synopsis and sends it to the the coordinator who in turn, sends it to the assigned first level editor.
5. First level editor PMs the synopsis to the coordinator after he/she is finished.
6. Coordinator assigns a second level editor and edits the Project Status thread.
7. Coordinator sends the second level editor the synopsis.
8. Second level editor edits the synopsis and sends it to a MAL mod/admin in this club
9. MAL mod/admin adds the synopsis to the DB

For synopsis writers:
If you want to start writing a synopsis you can do one of two things: choose an item from one of the item queues (can be found in the Project Status thread) or you can select a particular item of your choice that still needs to be done.

If you have a particular anime/manga/character in mind that you want to write a synopsis for:
The first thing that you should do is go to the anime/manga/character page that you want to write a synopsis for and check if it either has a source other than MAL, or if it's just terrible. If you confirmed this, you should go to the Project Status thread and check if the synopsis is already being written by someone else. Also check if the item isn't already listed in the queue, in which case you should just treat it as a "queued item", instead of a "request item".
Once you've confirmed these two things, you can go ahead and claim the item of your choice using the template provided at the top of the thread and you're set to go.

If you just want to start writing a synopsis:
In the Project Status thread, there's a queue of items that people can choose from to write about. If you want to start writing for one of these items, please check whether the item still needs a new synopsis (since someone outside of this club might have done it). If it's already done, please PM AnimeObsess about it and pick something else. If not, go ahead and claim it, using the template provided at the top of the thread and you're set to go.

After you claimed your item:
Your claim will be added to the list and an editor will be assigned to your claim to receive your synopsis. Once you're done writing, PM the first level coordinator your synopsis and he/she will forward it to the assigned editor. Allow up to three days to have an editor to be assigned to you. If by then there still hasn't been an editor assigned to you, you can PM a coordinator, AnimeObsess or Xjellocross, and ask to be assigned to an editor. You can also pm the Coordinator's IRC accounts: Miku and Xjellocross or enter our IRC channel #mal @ irc.rizon.net and ask to be assigned.

A final bit of warning: PLAGIARISM IS NOT TOLERATED. When an editor catches you of plagiarism (AND THIS WILL BE CHECKED), you will be kicked and BANNED from the project.
