[img] If these don't look like loli's, then i don't know what does. A bad picture, is hardly representative of how they look in the anime. Just look at the covers for the 1st and 2nd seasons. |

And now we watch as when it comes out, the otaku will come in droves, picking up maybe multiple copies. Time to sell maybe 40,000+ copies total? |

Finally.. I'm very patient to not see the spoiler, camrip version or whatever just to wait for this. Two or Three more months, I'll be waiting. "Lolicon" does not mean just "features cute girls under 18". BigOnAnime said: Time to sell maybe 40,000+ copies total? Oh no, go much much higher. 100k is guaranteed. Haruhi Shoushitsu sold over 134,910 (as measured by Oricon; Kadokawa reports over 200k shipped total) and K-ON! is all in all a more popular anime than Haruhi, and the movie grossed literally twice what Shoushitsu did. Even the Nanoha 1st movie sold 103,953. K-ON! will be at least at that level before it's done. BUY YUYUSHIKI BDS ALL DAY EVERY DAY |

Never understood the fascination with K-ON aside from the characters. Even then, I only really liked Azusa. All the other girls were too autistic for my taste, especially Yui. |

But that's like saying you don't understand the appeal of sex outside of the physical pleasure and emotional intimacy. That is precisely what there is to understand. Phenomenal KyoAni production values and catchy music don't hurt either of course, but K-ON! is all about the characters and their interactions with each other. Obviously there are many many people who don't find them "autistic" as you put it, and like more than just Azusa, or else this never would have been so popular. BUY YUYUSHIKI BDS ALL DAY EVERY DAY |

I don't think you know what the word means. |

Watupfooooo said: just a question though, the higher the points = higher the chance of the anime being successful? Since points are a direct estimate of sales, yes. If the algorithm were completely perfect (which it isn't of course, that's impossible), 1 point would always = 1 real sale as reported by Oricon. As it is, estimates are usually relatively close though, so it's not bad. So if during its release week a title has 7,500 points, that means it's been estimated to sell approximately 7,500 copies. Of course looking at the points now is really premature, as many of the titles have only been solicited 3 weeks or less. Some have not been solicited at all (e.g. AKB0048), or are unranked/unavailable on BD because of the Aniplex/Amazon dispute (e.g. Natsu-iro, Kimi to Boku and Tsuritama). And a million years later we get the movie. And we still have to wait 3 more months... AND then it needs to get subbed (could be fast, but who knows?) ![]() |
