Summary:
1) Points = sales estimate. It's based on an algorithm centered around ranking on Amazon Japan.
2) Points start from 0 and accumulate every day up to and including 7 days after release, in an amount based on that ranking.
3) Early in a season, things fluctuate wildly, so it's too early to draw conclusions about Spring, but once we're closer to stuff coming out, the estimates should be more useful.

Well there's a whole album of insert songs so I won't be surprised if at least one of them is played in-movie. But I'm avoiding all spoilers as much as possible on this count (so if anyone knows, don't tell me). Hell, I even bought that insert CD back in December but have refused to listen to it before I see the movie.


Eh, I'm actually kinda surprised there isn't a version over ¥10000 for the LE. ¥9240 for a nearly two hour movie LE BD isn't too bad.

If the BDs end up having English subtitles, I will preorder it as soon as possible.

If not (which unfortunately is more likely), then... I guess I'll wait for the US release to buy it, and just watch the fansubs until then.

In any case, I'm extremely excited. K-ON! is my favorite anime series and I can't wait to finally see the movie.

In comparison with the US release. It depends on the bonus goodies with DVD/BD.

All things considered, no English dub/sub in the Japanese virsion . The movie should be released after releasing season 2 TV series. With English sub/dub, the US distributer would angry because ,if so, they can't earn much money with the movie.

Can't wait. Another trinket to look forward to after graduation.

Well sure, but I'm not sure the comparison is worth making though... JP releases always cost 2, 3, 5, even 10 times more.

There definitely won't be extensive extras, if you ask me. K-ON! never did have great extras in its BD releases (I imported have them all so I know - they were rather barebones).


That assumes a significant number of people would be willing to pay the JP prices that as you noted, are exorbitantly expensive in the eyes of most westerners. I'll import it, but I'll probably only be one of like... maybe 100 people max. And I wouldn't count as a lost sale to the US licensor either, because as a rule I refuse to support the R1 companies, and will only import.

But no, I doubt it'll have subs anyway. Not that we need them, thanks to fansubs.

How about the fabric posters? You have them, right? But "great" or not is up to the personal sense of value.
