Well I just finished Bakuman last night and started watching the first 2 episodes, I just wanted to know if the series is good :]

The series is excellent. The entire reason to watch the first series is to get to Afterstory. I say go for it.

It's an inoffensive school comedy. If you like those, by all means.

Don't force yourself. I'm taking my time for Clannad and AS because very often I'm not in the mood for too much drama and especially in the first season there have been a couple of not so good arcs, but I still enjoy it, probably wouldn't have enjoyed it so much if I forced myself to marathon it. But I watched a couple of episodes every few days, sometimes weeks and so far it's increasingly enjoyable (Currently at episode 11 of AS).

At least for season one it is.

Although the series starts out slow, it gets A LOT BETTER. Trust me.
I think the show starts getting realllyyyyy good when you get to the ending of Fuko's arc and start to get into Kotomi's arc.

& once you pass Clannad, WATCH CLANNAD AFTER STORY.
After Story is like x2309472347 better then Clannad.
It's a lot more emotional too, so have a box of tissues next to you, lolol.
But you can't watch After Story if you didn't watch/finish Clannad! So don't stop watching!

It had it's moments but they can easily end both seasons in 26 episodes if they hadn't wasted so much time on side characters and it would have become a great anime for me. though i think you should finish it even if you take your time.

I finished episode 5, I like how the atmosphere is like unique, and how the blond hair kid always gets beat up by that one girl xD, but yeh is there really a plot?

This. And in AS there are some characters from the first season that gets little screen time since it will concentrate more on certain characters

I'm one of the few who didn't care much for it but then I don't generally like high school romance/comedy and/or "cute." I watched the whole thing because everyone seemed so crazy about it and found it contrived and overly drawn out. After Story wasn't too bad but it wasn't worth trudging through the rest to get there. Not my thing. If it isn't your thing, don't force yourself. Although it seems to be heresy on this site, not being enthralled by Clannad will not damn you to hell.

I love Clannad and AS but most people over-exaggerate their opinions about it. Especially about the crying part.

You should continue watching it, it was a great anime i wish they made more of it actually probably one of the only romance animes i like that doesn't have action in it.
