This show spends more time info dumping in it's first 4 eps than it does establishing character relationships and personal problems. Saying someone has a "weird opinion about how something is", is pretty much saying it's unnatural/unrealistic, wrong, or <insert similar statement>. Don't even try to worm your way out of that one. I'd say summing up Haru as simply having "depression" is more weird. A LOT more weird. Why should it be subtle? He's pretty much destroyed as far as social life/self-confidence is concerned. He doesn't seem like a shy/introvert person, either (just incredibly low self-confidence), so making it "subtle" (I'm guessing you mean having the character be less forward about things, and such) would be the weird thing to do. As far as I can tell, the main focus of the show isn't "dealing with depression and anxiety", so I'd say it handled just as well as it should have. And even then I'd still say it handles it better than a lot of other manga/anime out there. It's certainly not the one handling it the BEST, but it's far from the worst (Haru's actions are easily explainable with his background and some insight into his psyche). I'll take this melodrama over crap like black rock shooter any day. Also, if you find it impossible to take seriously, then that's your problem! There are way worse "up to eleven" mentalities than this out there in reality : D Not even going to bother explaining the tl;dr to you. Anyways, back to waiting for shitty TERA support! I doubt I'll reply to you again. |

| Disappointed it was Taku, you could see the reasoning a mile away but I wish he was a red herring instead. Ah well, I guess she won't die after dramatically confessing to Haru. She'll just take her sweet time recovering while he proves his worth in battles. So much melodrama. |

| That's some sugar sweet "nightmare" he had there. A certain senpai was obviously jelly about his 30 cm direct link with his childhood friend. Poor Haruyuki, just when the girl of his dreams confessed to him, she ends up in the hospital ICU after saving him. I'm a little disappointed they cut some of that nurse's interesting dialog, though. And Taku finally appears as Cyan Pile. Next will be a do or die battle for Haruyuki. He can't afford to lose now. |
| WONDERFUL EPISODE! It seems Taku planned everything out the way he wanted but we'll see if it is what he expected... Very nicely done even though it was pretty obvious. The tension and everything was there. Loved the confession part too. I really thought she was going to die though (but somehow come back to life later on). Off to episode 5! |

| Watched this episode because person insisted. I won't add it to my list because I'm not interested. Anyways, going to sound real immature here but kiss that pig ya bitch. Bahahahahahaha. This is UN-BELIEVABLE(Insert Cheria voice here). Aight, now I'm gonna be okay with all the NTR doujinshi we'll get about her. It's going to be fun to say the least. |

At least Chiyu has history with him, but ..... after a few days she's seriously in love with Tubby The Pig? This defies all logic. It will also defy all logic if she somehow recovers right away from getting hit by a car. I hope Chiyu isn't just snubbed out now. She actually kissed the bacon. Still trying to decide on what I'll call the mainchar, Porky McFatso has a nice ring but so does Tubby The Porker. Sigh only here would an ugly, whiny, pathetic fat kid have 2 really cute girls wanting him badly. |

| This episode was awesome, except the drama which felt really forced. The last minutes were incredible, I kinda had a hunch that it would be Taku, pretty obvious really. 5/5 Sent with Mal Updater |

Haru? really? i couldn't take the confession seriously at all with his character model, and the fact that he's crying his bloody eyes out. i think i'll give this one more ep. and if that doesn't turn things around i'll be more than happy to drop it. EDIT: I almost forgot with the events, but how the hell was that dream a nightmare??? is he gay??? (maybe that's what he wants to tell Kuroyuki) lol I was thinking the same thing. |

That's because Kuroyukihime is unconventional straight forward girl, not beating around the bush nor Tsundere. She knows what she wants and she will get it. That's why I like her a lot. Thinking about it logically, Black Lotus has been living in Accel World for a long time, which means she is years ahead of average kids in maturity, so she already looked past the appearances to the more fundamental things in life: character and potential. She also must have taken an interest and followed Haru for quite a while before giving him Brain Bust. Thus, her confession to Haru, right before her potential death btw, is not that unrealistic. |

| Oh boy that sure was an interesting development, to actually use the full concept of loving is rather interesting, although they could have worked more with the main character on this imo... Still quite interesting development here a dramatic scene and than a love declaration together bundled with an even more revealing truth about one of his friends! |

Haru reminds me too much of Eric Cartman to take him seriously but I really like him so far. Oh and I'm kinda weirded out that no one thinks it's even odd that she kissed a pig, who has no animated lips. |

Even if it wasn't morally right for her to have ulterior ark motives like he thought, it would have made more sense than just "oh yeah I've been admiring you for a while now". I'm just like...c'mon now. It's like in SAO where being good at the game just gets you the Mary Sue girl. Usually I'm not that critical to shows I've just started watching but this is just annoying me atm, maybe it'll go away later. |

It's something that you have to think about to understand, and that you'll become more aware of later. Suffice it to say, Kuroyuki is mentally much older than she appears. And as she said herself, all she cared about was speed and power... and Haru had more natural speed than anyone. Girls are drawn to power (hence why they marry rich/strong/smart/powerful men). It shouldn't be that odd that Haru attracted her. And if it helps, he doesn't get her, as you'll see. Or rather, he can't accept it yet. Not until he can stand with her as an equal. He wants to truly earn her companionship, make himself into a better man worthy of her, before he accepts. |
