THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Has anybody watched the movie yet?

Pretty decent Naruto movie in my opinion. MUCH better than the last one.
The beginning had a nice little hook, though we all knew from the trailer what was going to happen. Naruto gets framed for a crime and goes to prison.

I was half expecting his stay at this "Blood Prison" to be more like a Deadman Wonderland setting, where the whole place is just cruel beyond belief and takes absolute pleasure in watching the prisoners squirm. Turns out I was wrong about that, in fact other than Mui's attempts at taking Naruto to some 'secret lab' kind of place, the prison didn't seem all that terrible. But maybe that's just my opinion.

A little too much unnecessary talking in my opinion. There was some cool fights, but in between those exciting moments was just the characters talking to each other on and on. Sure they had somewhat important stuff to say, but they really could have said all of that in half the time they took.

My favorite part probably has to be the final battle against Muku.
I had a feeling that Mui wasn't going to be the final bad guy...not sure why.
Although Muku's monster form was ugly as f*ck!
A bit of an abrupt ending. They could have ended it a bit better.
But still altogether a decent Naruto movie.

mmm.. it was pretty cool I can say ....I feel pitty for Naruto becouse Tsunade and al the team made a fool of him xD :)).. (I was aspecting something like that since i first saw tsunade saying somthing simillar to "your guilty" ...)...so his first Kiss was with Ryuuzetsu , didn't aspect that ....but I didn't mind it .. I kinda liked ryuu :) ...the fighting was pretty good ..and funny when Naruto couldn't land a hit on Mui ...anyway what I knda disliked was that the wounds on their bellies were huge .. when someone is getting that kind of wound he surely DIES! srs .. mmm..what can I say more Naruto Shippuden Movie 5 didn 't let me down :) ...so it was good :) I enjoyed it :>

note: Psychopath is my name on a Game so this sig is mine . no copy/paste :)

Wow I was really expecting some nine tails action, ah well. The girl (with the circle rinnegan??) should have lived though. I like how they made the scene where naruto and ryuuzetsu get impaled, sorta like when minato and kushina were penetrated by the nine tails. I don't understand why muku did that to his dad at the end, it was so random lol. And I dont like how killer bee brushed off ryuzetsu's death like it was nothing. But overall, good movie.

I liked the story, best Naruto movie I've seen.
I loved seeing all the team fight for Naruto. There were some flaws but whatever

^I agree. Best naruto ever.

That fight between Naruto and Satori(giant monster) was epic. And I love the ED song.

NARUTO MOVIES = naruto, rasengan , rasengan , rasengan , big rasengan or new rasengan , about love/bonds/friendship , boss monsters or not a normal person , new girl added to his harem ... thats all i can remember in all of them

well... this one is a longer good fight... the rasenshuriken making a hole in the heavens is kinda cool though

Idk, I watched it and it was okay. Nothing really special but it didn't follow the usual Naruto movie theme. Usually there is one person that he needs to gain their trust but in this one, he didn't really have to try, or at least he gain everyone's respect in the first 20 mins. He didn't do anything we haven't already seen either(pretty color rasengan, sage/nine tail combo) which was a pretty big let down but overall, I enjoyed it.

Right? They changed one of the rasengan's name. Naruto said Spiral Rasenshuriken, like really?

um when does this movie take place? Before or after Naruto saved the village from Pein? Because he was acting all buddy buddy with Killer Bee and he's with Bee AFTER the village was destroyed, yet it looked to me like the village was completely intact.

(plus he kept having images of his dad, which he learns about during the villages destruction...)

loop hole much?

I agree with you. I was totally expecting a more cruel prison. It was a slight let down but I definitely still loved the movie.
I loved the new characters; all the new wills he inherited from them and the memories left. I just love watching Naruto grow! :3

I like the movie overall.

There many logical mistakes in what happened, but the plot was nice. Also, the performance was better than in the previous movies - the anime looked gloomier and more serious than usual, although it still had a long way to go to reach (using it as an example since it's already mentioned) Deadman Wonderland.

So the logical falacies really got to me and although I really enjoyed the movie I'm giving it 3/5

Was good. Better than the 4th one.
The only thing that I wanted to happen that didn't happen are two things.

- Naruto didn't get mad to the others.
-And they didn't show the whole kiss scene properly.

If I were in Naruto's situation, I might not even forgive them.

I guess the visuals this time is the Onidorou...
Pretty cool. (I am being ironic here.)Hahaha.
The characters were written pretty good.
And a weird name for a girl, Ryuuzetsu.

A good movie, that it was. Though it seemed a bit fishy that the huge hole in Naruto's chest didn't affect his performance in the least..

I have a secret. A dark, furry secret with big teeth. Less a secret, really – more a bear.

Decent Movie I just realized that there is always a new female character in each new movie I think. Something that amazed me was the kiss scene Naruto "GOT SOME" this is the first time that I have seen Naruto get kissed :P

Wow... i wasted my time with the movie. Its always the same villain: Either wants power or wants some type of revenge. I knew what was going to happened as the movie playing. And of course the chick, father and son die.... (like i didn't know that was going to happened) Well anyway, i didn't like it what so ever :/

Hopefully Number 6 is going to be better.

Hello people,
just watched blood prison and i am a bit baffled by what is happening and can not understand a few things.
Firstly if naruto is all buddy buddy with bee then why does the Raikage still have his left arm in the beginning as he lost it to sasuke at the kage meeting ?
Secondly as naruto is buddies with bee then this would have to be after he learned kyuubi mode so why did he not use this straight away, as im sure the kyuubis chakara would of over powered that seal from head of the prison?
When was this after the war ? Too many faults to be before the war or after so as someone posted , it has to be in another dimension :s ......?

movies are set in alternate universes. that's the only answer to it. ESPECIALLY the next movie, which explicitly says its in an alternate universe.

Hey did anybody else wonder what will happen to the memory of Ryuzeetsu, considering she is the first to kiss naruto and also the fact that the movies probably take place in an alternate universe or at least they are never reminded of again in the anime. And i just felt pity that a character such as Ryu would just get lost after the movie because besides the part whit the kiss she also seems really interesting and also i like how they drew her whit her white hair and rinnegan like eyes.

Was an alright movie. Watched a shitty quality version so it was less enjoying that it could be.

I'm not a big fan of the series (dropped Shippuuden ages ago) but I love the team work in the series when the other Konoha ninja's came to help. Though in kinda turned into the generic friendship/love beats enemy.

Lol @ them lasting as long as they did with giant holes in their stomach.

I don't exactly understand why he blasted his father in the end either but hell, I could care less in the end.

That's what a filler movie is. You'll rarely ever find movies that are even related to the actual story or not just a remake of a certain arc. This applies to all the long going shounen series.

The hole in his chest allowed for maximum oxygen access to his lungs. A decent movie, like all the Naruto movies. Still worth the time, even if you are never going to be blown away by them. I'm looking forward to the new eps and am hoping to be more impressed by the next movie.

Good movie.
But the Fairy Tail music did not fit at all.
The Fairy Tail music should never be used in any other anime, it's unique to Fairy Tail.
The same is the Naruto music, should never be used anywhere other than in Naruto.
The Fairy Tail music in the final battle ruined it abit. It would have made a final battle in a FT movie great, but not in this movie.

Hope the Fairy Tail composer never does this again.

Ahaha! I noticed this too! It really surprised me because it didn't fit Naruto at all but besides that it was a nice piece of music.

Overall I would say that the movie was okay, especially the last 30 minutes when everyone arrives. But I really hope that the sixth movie will be better.

The main thing I dont get. And that makes no sense is why Naruto was sent on this so called Mission to begin with? Especially since he was a target, I assume Tsunade assumed he'd be used to open the box so why send him there in the first place...
The Logic fails in this movie as you said...

only a few minutes in but... since when can naruto become invisible? (when he was supposed to be kidnapped in his cell)

Wow... i felt like the animation and fights were especially good... and directed very nicly, this feels different than the normal movies.

Was an alright movie, but towards the end all i could keep thinking was that there was no way those 2 were moving around with a big ass hole through their chest.

I mean most of their organs should have been destroyed and the blood lost alone should have rendered them unconscious.

Aside from that it took naruto way to long to figure out that he could use sage mode, even for him. Also i don't think some random guys fire seal would ever be able to contain the kyuubi's chakra, so he should have been able to use that aswell.

Well it was more like camouflage, he's never done it but since he is adept at transformations and other body type techniques i don't think it would be to farfetched for him to be able to do it.

Predictable is a key word for this movie. But guessing what will happen next was kinda entertaining :D
Many stupid things in this movie, I loved especially the scene, where Ryuuzetsu that old guy and Naruto were half(?) dead, yet they were all lively, and Naru was able to make Rasenshurikens etc. So stupid, but funny to watch. Or, invisilable Naruto. Or Ryuuzetsu kekkei genkai (lol, which elements could make "dragon's reincarnation? Suiton + Fuuton? Geez...")
Pierced Ryuuzetsu & Naruto were obviously copied from Kushina and Minato, and Ryuuzetsu's jutsu was obviously taken from Chiyo and Gaara, but I didn't really mind that. Last 40 minutes kicked asses! (Naruto get kissed by someone who's not Sasuke??!?!? Impossible! xD)
Animation and OST were EPIC, long time since I watched something like that!
Good movie. Silly, but IMO perfect for Narutards! 8/10 WITH LOVE :D
