The episode was really good but I just don't like that konohamaru became a chunin, just doesn't sit right. It's based off of skill and what not so even if he lost he should still become a chunin.

Didn't mind that Naruto didn't become Chunin since this is filler and it's kind of a running gag that, regardless of their immense strength, Naruto and Sasuke remain Genin.

It was a nice watch but Konohamaru's sudden boost in abilities wasn't really believable but hey, it's just a fun little OVA.

how can konohamaru tajuu kagebunshin? Its forbidden becuase its suck a lot of chakra leaving user dead . I can understand naruto cuz of kyubi but Konohamaru?

From what i see in the comments , most of you guys ( including me ) share the same thoughts.

I ABSOLUTELY HATED that filler episode or movie or whatever it is .
Konohamaru ended up "beating" Naruto and becoming chuunin, seriously , !@%@!$@
People were also supporting him instead of Naruto , once again !@%!!@%

Does this mean that Konohamaru is a chuunin in the series too now while Naruto still remains a Genin? After all of the things that he accomplished?

i hate how they are making konohamaru seems all strong right now like he's going to surpass naruto someday. it seems like they are planning to make konohamaru the next main character, if that ever happens i will stoop watching naruto cuz that kid freaking annoys me!!!!!

I'm more or less interested in the other participants than what happened to Naruto and Konohamaru. Some looked very interesting, and I hope they show up in the series somehow >.<

great ova, could have been an entire arc completely. konohamaru have so much potential and hes not even at his peek yet. you can't help it but to watch him grow stronger each time you see him. naruto should just stay at genin then go straight for the hokage title.

we should have konohamaru shippuuden instead of that stupid chibi rock lee parody series.

Yeah you guys have to remember that this is not canon material, so don't take the whole "chunin" rank series to heart in this ova. I don't think kishimoto never intended to raise naruto's rank, because things just spiraled out of control, the moment shippuuden started, he had no time to go through other chunin exams, when their was a secret evil organization bent on destroying and taking over the world, he had much more things to worry bout.

But i do think he will become hokage, it will be just like Genin > Hokage.

Also in the canon material, i actually do hope something similar like this happens some time in the near future, that would be cool to show the next generation shinobi go through some changes. But the whole sauske and naruto conflict is the pinnacle of the story so it might not happen. Maybe at the end when they reveal another time skip or something, i don't know.

Similar to how Dragon ball ended when goku Jr fought Vegeta Jr.

At first I thought they were saying Baka to Konohamaru but it was to Naruto because of the sage mode thing lol.

Well she said that they can use anything they wanted in the match, they never said they couldn't use Sage Mode, I think. Naruto should have won thing without even trying.
