Hime Hajime

Luckily, no one saw Hime dragging an unconscious Sokurunde to the apartment complex.

"he is way too ligt for someone like him..." Hime mumbled, glancing at the said guy. She sighed as she entered the building. Luck was on her side today as no one was there.

Her apartment was on one of the top floors, so it took a while to get there. After a few more grumbles and heaving, they reach into her flat.

Her flat was large for someone living by herself. There were the basic rooms: living room, dinning room, bathroom, and her bedroom. She had 3 extra room which were her own personal library along with an entertainment room. The last room was a guest room.

Placing Sokurunde down on the sofa, she quickly got the first aid kick and started to disinfect the wounds, not wanting any infection. Then, she remove his shirt and blushed.

'snap out of it! Sokurunde is still injure!' Hime thougt and she shook her head. Grabbing a line cloth, she began wrapping his side injury.

Sokurunde Watashi

Sokurunde groaned as Hime cleaned him up and wrapped his injury.

While in silence after Hime did that, he thought, "Why can't she use magic to heal me? Oh well, to each their own I guess."

Sokurunde tried to remember what had happened, but could not remember, so he called Hime's name.

"Hime..."

"Thank goodness your awake!" she exclaimed , hugging him in relief. She pulled away and lightly flick his head.

"don't do that again!" she scolded before continuing his injuries.

Sokurunde Watashi

Sokurunde groaned when Hime hugged him, and groaned again when she flicked him. Then he remembered, he was trying to protect her from muggers, when....

"I can use magic...." Sokurunde whispered, starting to feel just a bit better.

"Thank you Hime..." Sokurunde said, jumping to another topic in his deliriousness.

Hime smiled at him, but that didn't change the topic.

"You can use magic, huh?" she asked, looking at him.

'why are you so jittery on the topic of magic?' she thought, wanting go ask him but held her tongue

Sokurunde Watashi

Sokurunde sat up and shook his head, making it hurt just a bit.

"ea, but now I am feeling better thanks to you. Thank you Hime, but I need to rest a bit now. Thank you for helping me out, but I need to get back to... Ummm... Where I live. I will be seeing you around the city, hopefully."

Sokurunde groaned as he got off the sofa and walked towards the door.

"You're still hurt and shirtless!" Hime exclaimed, grabbing his hand. She gently tug his hand and made him sit at the sofa again.

Hime stood in front of him, her arms crossed, a defiant look on her face.

"the muggers said that you are a hobo, am I right?" she asked

Sokurunde Watashi

Sokurunde did not resist when Hime grabbed him and put him back on the couch, he was too weak anyways to resist.

He did freeze when Hime told him that the muggers said he was a hobo.

Sokurunde tried to lie, but knew that Hime would get mad at him, "Yea I am. That is why I am so skinny, I rarely eat anything. I did not want to go to that cafe because I stole food from them on one occasion, but have regretted it ever since. I am sorry for lying Hime, but I could not bear to tell you the truth, I was afraid you would reject me, like everyone else has..."

Listening him explain on him being a hobo, she couldn't help but feel sad for him. Squatting before him, she grasps him hand and smiled at him.

"hey, I don't care I'd you are hobo or not. You're my friend and I don't just reject them cause of something as meaningless as that" she said, before hugging him

Sokurunde Watashi

Sokurunde sat there dumbfounded while Hime was hugging him. Slowly, he put his arms around her and hugged her back. He never felt as safe as he was right then with Hime.

"Thank you Hime..." Sokurunde whispered quietly.

"your welcome! Now that's settled why don't you stay with me since you don't have anymore else to go with!" she chirped, looking up at him.

She didn't like how he live his life, but then again she hated life in the first place. If giving him a place to stay will help him,in any way possible, Hime would give it to him without a thought.

Sokurunde Watashi

Sokurunde thought about it for a bit not realizing what she just said. He then realized that meant he would be staying at someone else's house, and that someone was a girl.

Sokurunde blushed a bit before saying, "A-Are you sure that is ok?"

Hime was blissfully naive at what Sokurunde was implying.

"I have an extra bedroom I don't use so you can use that" she explained, getting out of the embrace. She handed him his shirt back and began packing the first aid kit.

Sokurunde Watashi

Sokurunde took back the shirt and put it on, he had forgotten he did not even have it on.

Sokurunde up and asked, "Where is the second bedroom?"

He then thought, "If Hime is going to allow me to live here, then I need to get a job."

Sokurunde then remembered something from earlier, "Hey Hime, what about that feeling we both got when we were in the alley? That could not have been a coincidence that I just happened to get my magic power there. Maybe we should go check it out, like now..."

"The second bathroom is the door to left hallway first door" Hime explained, putting the first kit away.

"are you sure we should go back?" Hime asked, a frown appearing on her lips. She knew the alley wasn't safe, she knew that much. But she couldn't deny the strange mana calling to her.

Sokurunde Watashi

Sokurunde nodded, "I think we should go there right now. There is no telling what has happened since the muggers."

Sokurunde tried unsuccessfully to stifle a yawn.

"we can fit bad guys if you have no energy..." Hime lightly lectured, shaking her head at her exhausted friend.

Grabbing his hand, Hime tug him away from the living room and into his new room.

His bedroom had navy wallpaper and white ceilings. There wasn't much, but it did have an amazing view of the city.

she laid him down and tucked into bed, whispering a 'good night' to him. She smiled softly at him as she closed the door.

A yawn appeared out of nowhere, as she tried to cover it.

"I beter get to bed myself!" she exclaimed, laughing as she went into her own bedroom.

It was the opposite of Sokurunde's room. It had dark red walls and black ceilings. It, too had a nice view of the city, but it had a more personalized style.

It was orderly clean with the exception of books lying around as well as notebooks on the ground. Side stepping them, she quickly remove her clothes, put them in a wash bin, and put on a white nightgown.

"today rather interesting..." she thought before sleeping away.

Sokurunde Watashi

Sokurunde knew he should have stifled his yawn when Hime took him and made him go to sleep in his new room. He seriously thought about running away and making sure Hime did not have to take care of him, but he was pretty sure she would hunt him down if he tried.

Laying in his new bed, Sokurunde stared up at the ceiling and thought about how long it has been since he last saw one, a long time. Sokurunde sighed and closed his eyes, hoping that he could finally find out why he was on the streets in the first place.

He had long forgotten.

When Hime woke up, it was barely morning and it was barely 5 am.

"why did I have to wake up so early!" she groan and her pillow and just laid there unmoving. Minutes faded away as she got up and decided to make some coffee.

It was chilly and goosebumps rose from her skin as she curled into the couch in the living room, quietly sipping her drink, and thinking of yesterday's events.
