I dont know if this have been discussed. I tried the searchbar but it didn't work because of maintenance.

My suggestion is an option that allows you to hide the hentai you have on your list from public viewers. The hentai will only be visible for the owner of the list. I want to be able to show my list to people without them getting offended, but actually im just embarrassed. lol I really want to keep track on which ones i've watched without displaying it for other people, but I want to be able to display my other animes for the public at the same time.

Anyone feel the same?

I wouldn't say that now your list looks very hentai oriented :)
I think it could be a good addition as an option.

i don't watch hentai but i would support this suggestion, some people just don't want it to show on their list because like you they may be embarrassed or for some other reason

Unless your list is composed entirely/mostly of hentai, I don't think it's anything you should be embarrassed about :D Besides, nobody is going to hunt through your list looking for hentai titles.

No they dont have to when there are abvious titles as "Moother knows breast", "Sextra Credit" or "My Brotrher's wife".



Hentai is mostl part porn. Do you want to display what porn you watched? Its private stuff.

Although I don't care at all if someone goes through my list and finds hentai, I'd like to see this implemented. There are people who are afraid of showing that they watch hentai (you can simply not add them... oh well...) and it'd help them. Also, hat way I would be able to give my fellow club friends in school my MAL username (yeah, that's an anime club. i can see you becoming jealous already)

this may be a dumb suggestion, im new here, but if you're worried about it, why not just leave it out of your list...

Or you could make another secret account and just list all your hentai there.

I used to add mine, then I showed someone my list yesterday and realized I Bible Black on there.

Don't really think this is all that necessary. As illdoya said, just don't list it if you're uncomfortable with it.

Like i said i want to easily keep track of wich ones i've watched, watching,dropped and gonna watch. Its what this site is for right?? Or why am i here. I dont understand what the problem is. If there's people who want to hide it why cant they? It doesnt really concern anyone else. Its just one little feature.



I used to do that. But its a heck lot easier to use this site. If i make a list on for example word. I would have to write all the different titles for one hentai. I would have to copy and paste the titles into another section of the list whenever i've finnished watching. A word document doesn't have the features this site has.



Thats quite a good idea, but it would be easier if i didnt have to log out and in. If my suggestion doesnt go through. I might do as you say.

You are not being very open to suggestions.. People are trying to give you other ways to make this work and you have your heart set on getting it hidden. BTW you shouldn't be ashamed of what you watch. Someone is not going to go through your list and say "OMG he/she has hetai on their list!" As far as the titles go, so what, no one really cares what you watch. I think you are thinking too much into this.

you are right, why should anyone care who sees what they are watching.
However, there are other people, other mentality, other traditions, other way of thinking, or they just might show it someone whom they know from real life and who is not so much open minded as you are. And some people might even find you strange because you are watching sport anime ^.^
One more option to manage the list, why not to add it on the long list?

[Actually for me it will be good if they hide hentai, because if I am chekcking some one's list, I just look those entries which has "Add" label to them (so I do not have it in my list). And because I am very much opened to most of other genres hentai is just way too far from zone of my interest I wouldn't like to click on those "Add" to discover a hentai show there.]
Anyway, it's not a big issue.

There are a lot of prejudices about hentai and those who watch it. Even by animefans. Like GDL-URAHARA said everyone isn't that open minded unfortunately.

Even though this isn't completely "necessary" as some people are saying, and even though there are "alternatives", I think a great number of users would benefit from this feature anyway, especially since we discourage making second accounts in our TOS. If this option was implemented, users can keep track of their hentai, and not face social awkwardness when showing off their animelist.

not really sure where i stand on this one, but i do wonder i do think it would be a pain to code since you'd also have to tweak the "Last List Updates" section for your list, your friends "Recent Friend Updates", the anime pages themselves,"All My Friend's Entries" on the statistics page for the anime, "Strife91 History" section on your profile and "Anime You Share". and chances are i'm forgetting someplace where this information is also listed and not even mentioning all the changes that would need to be made for manga.
