THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Yawn. 'Big finale' next week will sure be underwhelming to say the least. At least background music is still refreshing and fitting for the series. "There is a road in the hearts of all of us, hidden and seldom traveled, which leads to an unknown, secret place." |

Again a pretty boring episode. It bothers me how they make it seem like not one of the enemy soldiers were killed but instead just injured. Oh and the bad guy turns out to be Dick, big surprise |

At least they weren't waiting until the last episode with this "unexpected" plot twist. As for the episode, it was as average as it could get. |

A few more facts got revealed in this episode. Gido has implanted his mind into Dick's body though I find it questionable if he is really dead or if there will be some sort of comeback next time. Maya is not one of the Ideal Children but belongs to the Originals and has been living for centuries now. However, as she feels that her body will fall apart soon, she is determined to find Ozuma. For which reason? We still don't know. |

Great developments, and an excellent cliffhanger. It shows that a series doesn't need more than 6 episodes to have a good script AND a good background (thing that most series nowadays don't even care to have, they simply take the easy way). |

My thoughts exactly. Foppery and whim is all I need in life |

They should have eliminated episode 1, and condensed its fight into episode, tossing half of episode 2 aside as well. Regardless, five continues the trend of the episodes getting pretty intense and compelling, that reveal threw me off my seat. <img src="http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lx1a8gz3tu1qbxqfpo1_500.png" /> |

Gido being Dick was so predictable. But cloning was little twist. Modified by bastek66, 04-14-12, 4:15 PM ![]() |

I hope the captain gets her Dick back since she is the only character I've developed any empathy for. (That first sentence just feels wrong somehow...) In my next life I want to collide at the corner with the cute transfer student carrying a piece of toast in her mouth......rodac Must...not...feed...trolls.... |

meh. the "big reveal" was lackluster, but the stuff about Maya and her "real age" was something I didn't expect. this show is pretty much average... but sometimes there's a glimmer of something more... but not very often. |

This show is pretty frustrating to watch because it could be so good but every time it shows a flash of brilliance it also finds a new way to stumble. This anime has everything it needs to be interesting but it insists on following the same cliche paths of every other mediocre anime out there. It wastes it's great setting and potential to be something like Dune-lite. With six episodes it could never be Dune the anime but there's no reason it couldn't have taken some cues from Dune to make something more original. Instead Ozuma opts to borrow Dune's setting and some of it's concepts and then wastes them on a paint by numbers story. At least there weren't any inappropriate food fights or really stupid looking scenes this week. Instead every conveniently falls into the cave they need to finish off the plot. The writing and dialogue here are just so bland and forgettable. As were all the "plot twists" which were easy to read from a mile away. I think the six episode format really handcuffed this anime from being something more and in the end it's going to end up less than the sum of it's parts unless it pulls out something really special for the finale. I do like the rough 70s art style this anime has going on. It gives the show a fresh appealing look. The OST is slightly above average but some of the voice acting is terrible. I can't stand Sam's line delivery. It's like he just exclaims all of his dialogue with no real emotional inflection. Overall this all makes for a mediocre episode from a mediocre anime. 3 out of 5 |

Predictable. Pretty much. Rather enjoyable but nothing spectacular except for music. |

The art seemed a little better in this ep. Not as boring as the earlier ones, but still nothing good. =/ |

Ok, so the story is mercilessily clichéd, but they probably made it that way on purpuse, as a way of adding to the old school feel. I probably wont remember this anime at all after Ive finished it, but I still find it decent entertainment. |

Like what? It was said in episode 4 that Gido took body of someone... and that this person was Dick. It was same episode as one with voting thing. So I don't know about some bad twist here :P But still great series - great character design, nostalgia feel... yes it is good one 5/5 |

Good music, mediocre plot. The cloning thing and mind transfer thing was interesting. The ending is most likely gonna be predictable. |

Interesting again for me but it didn't become clear whether Maya is human or not. Gido's being transferred into Dick's body was pretty clear when they first showed them both in that lab, I think 2 episodes ago? Next time Ozma will be finally showed, judging from the preview and there is a big battle coming. 9/10 |

It's a shame that people are disliking this. I actually enjoy this quite much, much more than I expected. Oh and the OP single is out, and I am a happy man ^_^ |
