it would be really great if there was an option to find the most simillar character to your favourite one!

Based on what criteria? ^^;; Personality-wise? Looks-wise?

well I thougt that more on peronality-wise, but we could write why we think characters are alike - something like 'if you like.. you should like.. because..' just as we do with anime. there are people recommending an anime just based on the style of drawing or just because it looks simillar, some do it because of 'the feeling' they get while watching it. I thought it would be nice to have something like that but with characters just because there are plenty of people who look for a new anime with exact kind of character in it.

that would be interesting. A character makes quite a difference in choosing what to see.

I have thought about this so many times! While it occasionally comes up in the anime/manga recommendations there are many similar characters that we may never know about because the anime/manga is so different.

If it were to happen I believe it should work exactly like the anime/manga recommendations we currently have, not only would this allow us to find similar characters but also share our opinions on them in a short and clear manner which I believe is something else a lot of people are looking for. Also I agree it should definitely be based on personality.

One of the reason's I believe this to be such a great idea is because characters are what make anything interesting, so if there is a character you love, like..i don't know..Allen Walker from D. Gray Man for instance then chances are there is a character similar to him in another anime/manga that you would never have found without this feature, which would be a shame considering how great Allen is XD

Yes! A very good idea. Maybe too in the character profile of him/her

I like this idea, since characters play a big role in anime and I have watched some anime solely just for how interesting some characters are.

I wonder how many great ideas like this go unnoticed because aren't exposed for long enough, I mean I don't know about other people but I tend to stick to the first few pages and with the rate of posts this thread could be out of sight before anyone really gets a chance to support it which would be terrible since I really do love this idea.

I just wanted to say (Before I went off some slightly related rambling) maybe if we actually came up with a solid outline of what the Character Recommendation section would be like it may have more of a chance of becoming a real feature and then we can all rejoice and watch as over time more and more people make recommendations.

Anyway once again, I support and I hope we are able to get this suggestion put into action.
