| I can actually see that most old-timers left Gainax - it's almost tangible, really. I usually drop shows when the first episode is crappy, but hey - it's that Medaka everyone's talking about, right? So there's no way it could be that bad, right? ...is what I thought after the first episode. It seems that I hadn't been in the wrong though - the second episode was even worse than the first one. I do understand that it becomes an action shounen after the current arc, but those several episodes of utter garbage before that happens are just too much for me. And I'm not really a fan of tweaked Haruhi rip-offs - especially cheap ones. Dropped. |

| Second episode was slightly better than the first but I am still not overly impressed. Somehow I can't believe that Medaka Box will ony get 12 episodes. Was there ever a WSJ Anime Adaption that short? |

| Shiranui is the troll of this show. Literally all she does is troll when she pops up, and it's hilarious. Her and the guy are the only things that are making me come back. Other than that, this show doesnt really jump out at me. |

| It a pretty fun episode but really during it I couldnt helpp but feel like nothing was happening. Zenkichi needs more moments, really, he is the star of the anime. Cant wait to see what happens next. |

| I wanted to love this anime adaptation of Medaka Box i really did, but really if you have not read the manga you should just go read it to really enjoy what Medaka Box should be. Found a random comment which sums up my thoughts on whats wrong with the anime. "The pacing of the anime is all around the place, it's like a high speed train without any stops in between. The character designs are way off, the coloring of the chars is ugly as well. Bland boring backgrounds. Gainax wasted too much money on useless effects like those in ep 1 with the bar graph, character name boxes; if they had the money to do those they should've used it for something better. The background music is way too loud, doesn't fit the situation and there's rarely a quiet moment; no added value at all. The opening is full of useless stuff. Transitions between scenes almost non-existant. Toyosaki doesn't fit Medaka; She sounds as if she's trying to sound like Hikasa Youko too hard. It's almost like the sound director was like: Get me that person who voiced that guitarist chick in K-on and his subordinate got Toyosaki instead of Hikasa." Also to add on to his points i dont know but there is something else missing in this anime version that is not letting the Medaka Box manga magic shine through but i can't place my finger on it. Also most of the VA sound wrong to me so that really is bugging me. Read the manga you will be fully able to enjoy Medaka Box, i will keep watching the anime since i want to see how it ends up. The manga is by far better and should be read if your even trying to watch this anime so you can see this at its best. |

| I really hope that those 12 episodes are just the 1st season. After all, lately it's been a common thing to air next season of an anime several months after the previous one ends. Probably, hey are unsure about the popularity. Anyway, this epsode was rather good and interesting. Medaka is showing to be even more human which is a good thing. I was worried they'd make her another Chuck Norris (or Bruce Lee). Although, I'm still kind of annoyed at her being able to do everything (even better than people that train it daily, e.g. running, in this ep). The animals thing really touched me, especially because I'm much of an animal person (not literaly) and I seriously couldn't imagine what would I do if animals felt that way about me. Poor Medaka. :-( I don't get why are so many people complaining about fanservice. I'm an ecchi hater but I don't have a single problem with fanservice in this. Most of it are physics laws or it's made for laughs. Not to mention that there are like 10 seconds of fanservice per episode. I've seen shows with much more overdone fanservice, much more often shown, it had no explanation at all and it was a serious business (aka no laughs). |

| I've really been disappointed with just about every aspect of this series. I haven't read any of the source material but knowing the names involved with this series I was expecting so much more. The characters are flat and boring. The dialogue is particularly witty or even well that written and the plots have been so generic. This anime has shown me nothing interesting at all. But my biggest problem with the show so far is Medaka. I hate this kind of flawless genius type of character. They are too inhuman and not relatable at all and Medaka is even worse than usual. She just leaves me feeling cold towards her. And no "she's so awesome animals don't like her" isn't a real flaw. Now I do recognize they did make other attempts to humanize her this episode but it felt forced and contrived. These characters don't have enough depth to really get any kind of good development and with only 12 episodes I guess this is just going to turn into a big fanservice parade. |

| We got no plot but only some funny events. Is she the troll of the show?  Medaka was very cute as a puppy, in the end being sad under her desk and moving her tail like that was cute overdose. |

Did the staff even read the whole Manga? I bet they just read the first chapters and got the impression of Medaka from it. | Let me say 4 points. 1. rofled so hard at the part where they asked " why u wearing a jersey inside ur uniform " LOOL 2. both medaka and shiranui has a strand of hair that wiggles. very original 3. the comedy is everlasting. 4. that doggie costume on medaka was so cute ;p |

Not exactly my favorite type but her jealousy was her saving grace for me. When I saw her getting jealous over Zenkichi and Shiranui just messing around I was just like "yeaahhhh!" Don't know why but having the "perfect" girl jealous over her so called "average" normal childhood friend like that took the cake for me. Plus they try to emphasize she can be pretty stupid to actually.. The jealousy factor made me a happy camper though. |
