I also love how their is already a handful of reviews when only two episodes have been released. I mean it's kind of jumping the gun don't you think?

I don't even notice it at all, personally. Weak, male protagonist is weak. They all look the same to me after a while.

Considering how short he is, of course you wouldn't see him.

I think the problem is the art choice seems odd. Not fat or anything, it just looks drastically different than everyone else. But he is so not-serious-looking that you end up taking him serious!

I actually like the main character

The fact that he's over weight just makes the anime more interesting. The reason I started watching this anime was because he was chubby.

I guess everyone has their own opinions regarding this.

not gonna judge his personality yet as it's only been 2 episodes but i like that he's fat, it's the only reason i started watching this. i hope he improves as a PERSON by the end of it. i'm fat myself so i guess it's nice to see a protagonist who is. (it would also be nice if he doesn't turn out to be one of those bland-as-hell japanese male protagonists but lbr that's probably going to happen)

what i don't like is that his design is so different from the rest of the characters, i find it insulting for some reason. like, they couldn't draw a fat guy realistically..?

the only one problem for me is his f*cking disgusting SEIYUU!

What's wrong with Yuki Kaji as seiyuu? LOL

I have to one solid conclusion: everyone that sticks up for the main character being fat is probably and mostly likely fat.

Honestly, this show is equivalent to Guilty Shit, so I'm probably not going to watch it period, but just to piss everyone off, I'll say I am because the main character is fat.

Well, considering Guilty Crown is in your favorites, you are probably too blind to see why not only is a shitty and generic show and a COMPLETE rip off of Code Geass, but Shu has probably the most excruciating ear rape voice I've ever heard.

I didn't watch Code Geass so I don't really care about your reasoning and also, it is true that some of his voiced characters are a bunch of lame ass whiners and weak at start like Shu, Issei, as well as the Haruyuki here but as the series goes the character's growth is good.
Also IMO he is chosen as the seiyuu because he is good at those characters which are weak willed at first but has strong sense of responsibility as the series goes.

For some people having issues about his character design... damn, DEAL WITH IT. All this whinery and name-shitting reminds me of bullies picking on kids like Haruyuki.

He could be just like you, too.

I'm not gonna say anything about Guilty Crown. But whether it's crappy or not has nothing to do with Seiyuu's performance. Sure thing, Shuu was annoying. But that simply means Kaji was doing his good jobs because he was assigned to annoy us. Elsewhere, he has been around voicing many characters with various characteristics and mostly his performances were quite good.

I think Kaji, Yuki portrayal of Issei is gold!!! I don't know about Shu but I think he (Kaji) fits the role of the fat MC in Accel World.

Back to the topic, I don't care if the protagonist is a fat person or someone with a F-ing stupid grin in his face. What I'm interested in are the Heroines, you hear me? The heroines.

Something about shows like this make my grinch heart grow 3 times it's size for a day. I grow bored of watching the macho badass get all the girls, seeing the nobody with a heart of gold win sometimes is mostwelcome. I think being short and fat accentuates his helpless/unwanted persona, making his feelings of being weak more believable.

The generic type you see in every anime? Oh yes, I'm most interested in them too.

I just love to watch the same animes with different titles season after season.
