April Fool's jokes are a tradition, and anime/game/publishing companies often play along, but in the form of (attempts at) clever, witty jokes. It's the kind of juvenile shit anonymous people on the internet pull to troll others. Large companies advertising multi-million dollar properties at major industry conventions don't risk that kind of nonsense. An April Fool's joke for OreImo would be to put out a fake trailer where OreImo becomes a mecha anime, or where Saori becomes the main character, or something else that fans of the show would find funny, but know is totally improbable. The kind of thing only a few gullible people would fall for. Legit companies don't troll in ways that could be very easily misconstrued, because that's bad business. what are you, 5 years old?
