yeah, the game was even made by quare eenit, or something like that. It's like some people I know and WOW.  Higurashi: Retroactively asserting why scary and cute sound so similar in Japanese. |

Urg I remember the days when I was addicted to an MMORPG. When I look back at it I'm like x.x Never slept, played as soon as I woke up and while getting ready for school, when I got home. Went cold turkey and completely quit now ;D   |

Nice FF parody lol...i'm glad im not stuck on these mmorpgs for to long...i lose interest after a few days..even WoW couldn't hold me lol...it's getting boring to play the same game every and every day honestly ~~ also you can never really "finish" those games...maybe that's the mainpoint why i don't play them constantly to "the end" |

lol. i get like that with some games but after awhile i tend to lose interest and stop playing for a long time. i feel so bad for misaki waiting for him and actually thinking he's doing something productive.  |

This Ultimate Fantasy thing was probably one of the worst things that could have happened to Satou. He’s got such an obsessive and withdrawn personality that something like this was bound to pull him in, just as the ero games did. Poor Misaki, Satou has really fallen into a delusional state. |

When I was going to watch this episode I came in ready for someone to die I mean his mom was all gloomy and I heard sirens. Heh, that was amusing. I'm not much of an MMO fan myself (I know better than to risk that) but I know enough about FF11 to appreciate the elaborateness of the parody. This is the most RPG-derived humor I've seen in an anime since Abenobashi. Also, the music playing when Sato watches the intro to the game sounded like something by Hitoshi Sakimoto - who, ironically, now works on anime as well as video games. Between that and the incantations that go with the magic spells, I'm tempted to break out Final Fantasy Tactics. Oh yeah -and who woulda thought that a couple years before South Park did it, another show - and an anime no less - would have a hard rock/level-grinding montage? |
