I was trying to upload this image to the character page for Sakuya Tohno but the image was rejected. The reason given was simply, "no." I could understand if the mod who denied it thought it was a fanart since the main image is so dissimilar, but the image is not. It was drawn by the author, Aya Shouoto, and was posted on the Nakayoshi main site as extra material. The art is actually far more similar to the actual material than the current (but that's not really an issue here). The only problem I can see with the image is its size is a bit smaller than normal. My apologies for wasting anyone's time with this, but more than anything I'm confused by the rejection since I can't find anything describing this in the policy. |

I'm not the person who rejected it but I wouldn't accept it either, for two reasons. First, when a small picture already exists, there's no reason for more small pictures to be accepted. I tend to delete smaller pictures at the first sign of a picture with maximum dimensions (225 x 350). Second, the lines are all jagged and the image is riddled with artifacts. It was either over-sharpened or simply low quality to begin with. The current picture is a little bit blurry but I'll take that over jagged edges any day. The guidelines for pictures exist for users to make higher quality submissions. As those guidelines really aren't that hard to fulfill, we still reserve the right to reject pictures we don't like. |
