Discuss. Personally, I'm a bit sad that no one other than Touma appeared in this. What's more he only appeared in the first and last part. I was hoping that he and Misaka were together on this. The Kiharas were crazy though. Too bad Kagun died, he was a real bro. And we got some more mystery regarding GREMLIN's plan as well as Imagine Breaker. Let's see how this goes for the next volume. So how many chapters is this? 37? It has a different format than the other volumes so should we count it each entry as chapters? |

The volume's table of contents seems to treat all 37 as individual chapters, so I'd say count all 37. I'm currently partway through the final chapter. I have to agree on most of what else you said. It was a bit disappointing that Touma's appearances were pretty minor. I really liked Kihara Kagun, Kumokawa Maria,Safflee Opendays and Marian Slingeneyer. Especially Marian's fight with Touma at the end. But this volume was more of a "ooooh awesom—oh, it's sort of dragging . . . oh it's finally ending on a cool note now that Touma's back!" sort of deal for me. I sort of felt like Kamachi was trolling was trolling readers a couple times in the beginning, with Utgarda-Loki's illusion and other things related to that. |

meh volume 2 is still my favorite NT volume so far. there were so many new characters introduced all at once that i couldn't give a fuck about most of them. marian and her dvergr powers were cool though. the Kiharas are awesome as usual, best clan ever. Othinus as a loli was disappointing, i was hoping she was someone like Fiamma. i didn't like kumokawa or saflee or oumi all that much... half the time maria was just undressing all over the place and i was just wishing that the pov changes to somewhere else where action is actually taking place. i didn't expect any misaka in this volume, because i think it was pretty much implied in NT3 that touma's gonna drop her off somewhere along the way. i hope we do get to see her go on some major action soon... in nt3 it was just her and accelerator throwing cannon fodder around. it was a cool moment though. i hope the two of them go on a rescue the clones mission some time (because well... they're missing. probably just AC recalling them, but one can dream.). |

Want to see the other characters. I miss Kanzaki and Itsuwa. |

I miss Kanzaki and Itsuwa. yeah, but it was different during the end of volume 3, since then he dragged everyone along only for things to get worse. i don't miss kanzaki or itsuwa.. they had several volumes worth of screen time back then (acqua, then england, and kanzaki had screentime during radiosonde). we're in for some impending kamijou character development. also, i think his potential team-up with ollerus and fiamma is incredibly badass. now if only misaka were to get character development. she's been doing nothing but chase kamijou around. she's a great character, and i hate seeing her just running around like this. if she's doing some chasing, at least let her do it properly and make her help out in a major way. >_> she deserves better. |

Personally, I believe that this was the best volume to date. Although I was a bit confused when Kihara Ransuu entered the stage. However, the volume did keep me on edge the whole time and I felt that each of the characters (Kihara Kagun and Kumokawa Maria more so) each had their good moments. On another note, it seems like there's potential for a team-up between Touma, Ollerus, and Fiamma :3. Plus, the fact that Othinus's next target is Aleister makes the chance for more action from Aleister and possibly Aiwass greater. Plus, I feel like by the end of the GREMLIN arc, we'll know what the Invisible Thing is and Touma may finally gain complete control over it. ![]() All hail the adorable chess master! |
