It's funny watching that now, considering they've never let Team Rocket get away with anything again. |

| The one time Pokemon almost had Satoshi get rid of Pikachu. I sorta love how it's all set up; after Butterfree, you know none of his pokemon are off-limits, so this feels all very possible at the time then to subvert it... I wish we got more of these where you'd think Satoshi's pokemon is gonna leave him forever but doesn't. After this, they almost always do (and even then it's a leave then return). |
| lot of people here is mistaking the wrong episodes. ep38 - the banned polyogn episode ep39 - holiday hi jynx (have it dub, so it probably aired?) ep40 - snow wa ep41 - pikachu's goodbye this is the thread for ep38 - christmas special anyway, this episode is probably the stupidest, not the fact they went to the north poll, but the fact that they knew that boot is senta's, like, how do you know how he looks like? >< |
| "pikachu's goodbye" numbered as 39 but chronically is 41. very cute and sad episode at the same time. borck said couple of weird things: *pikachu's drawning* brock: ash i think you should try and save it no, because ash thought about leaving it to die. *pikachu singing with other pikachu* brock: pikachu's best with it's own kind why don't you just tell ash to leave him? and what happen to that when ash tried to real leave pikachu? |
| Chronologically this is "Holiday Hi-Jynx" with "Snow Way Out" coming after which screws up the episode number by 2 episodes until episode 67 "Showdown at the Po-ké Corral" - So whoever is watching it in chronological order be wary of posting spoilers regarding these 2 episodes. Silly of Ash to assume Pickachu would rather stay with the other Pickachu's than to stay with it's friend. Really sweet episode though. |
