Ah, yes, a movie, w/e, I know it's gonna suck, it'll be either a filler, some story from the manga that will screw up the whole anime chronology, or even a hiatus on the anime; then the movie so later they'll be having the anime again. #1 is unfortunately the least horrid option.
I hope it'll sell well, since it might guarantee more seasons of HxH.

I personally never care if MOVIES are filler, heck I HOPE they're something new, I don't want to sit down for 90 minutes watching a movie of some parts I know damn well is gonna happen and could have just been put into the anime.

Anime's job = adapt manga as faithfully as possible

Movies job = be creative with the story's invironment

I also don't care if it effects the plot or not, when it comes to movies I expect to enjoy myself, so wether plot movements happen or not I don't give a shit.

Anyways I can't wait! I was always hoping HxH would get a movie ever since I got into it, and now its got one! THIS IS GONNA BE GREAT!! :D

I'm enjoying the anime remake, so that's cool. I'll watch the movie, filler or not--I don't care as long as it revolves around the leading characters.

As for the hiatus, I'm guessing that Togashi needs some time off to think about how to present the next arc (now that the Chimera Ant arc is finished).

All things considered, HxH is just as great as Yu Yu Hakusho. ^^

If you enjoy Jump's big 3 (or at least one of them), then you MIGHT like HxH. If you like surprises, then it's right up your alley.

Yeah, Hunter X Hunter is a great shonen series, but it's not exactly gonna convince anyone who isn't a fan of what shonen manga/anime is typically like to give it a try.

Don't expect a great story for a movie but...YEAAAAAH

Greatest news of the day, I must top out though how surprised I am at how early in the series this was green lit. After only 10 episodes it already has a movie declared, I conjecture that must signify from a ratings viewpoint and fiscal outlook that huntsman x seeker (2012) is beautiful successful.

Watched it in theater today. Although 'filler' I thought it was a great movie. Very entertaining. It fills in a little about Kurapika's backstory that I thought was interesting to watch.
