I'm not sure how to feel, since I already know a lot of shonen that have movies. Here's hoping this'll be one of the good ones.

I take it that the new Hunter x Hunter anime is a great success then, financially?

I like it a lot, especially these last couple of months. I'm hoping it'll manage to animate all of the manga (or at least, all of the manga that has been published so far).

It'll be mediocre at best just like all the other movies that cash in on long running shounen anime. They're just long fillers.

i dont actually know how to feel about this. i welcome it, but shounen anime movies never seem to work out well. it will probably involve them walking around until gon and killua discover somthing random, than than shit happens.

Best news of the day, I must point out though how shocked I am at how early in the series this was green lit. After only 20 episodes it already has a movie announced, I guess that must mean from a ratings standpoint and finacial outlook that Hunter x Hunter (2011) is pretty successful. Either way, great news.

I'm enjoying the hell out of revisiting the TV series, so I might watch this. Even if in general I have very low expectations for movies, especially original material from a long-running shounen franchise, because you know they won't be allowed to do anything of story significance.
