Loved it. A very heartwarming episode, this show never disappoints me. I look forward to that picture being taken. |

I hope the money sold from the house goes to Natsume or at least most of it, since it's his parents house after all, despite his distant relative(s) Tachibana, taking care of it (by bills/taxes and whatnot). If he gets nothing from it, that's B.S. and they may as be telling Natsume to live on the streets, since the money can be used towards his education or further future. I know they probably won't include that tidbit in the story because it may not seem relevant to the overall main plot, unless they mention something in later episodes, but that's just my 2 cents. |

Is it just me or was the animation quality this episode a bit sub-par from the usual? The faces were looking a bit funny... Regardless, still an excellent episode. I think this might be my favorite season of the four. (◕ᴥ◕し) Hello! Did you know? Barnacles have the largest penis to body size ratio of the animal kingdom. |

Natsume learned to stop lying to his self and embrace his past for ones. It looked like he had really nice parent's so it would be a shame to not remember them, they looked like a really nice couple on that picture. I wonder what Natsume will find in his old house it's pretty interesting to see something of his past. ![]() |

Heartwarming is the perfect word to describe the whole manga. By the way anyone else wonders how Reiko was able to find a man? |

Find myself really happy that Tanuma called him out. That seems to have helped Natsume take a chance in trusting the people around him a little bit more Overthinking Anime a site devoted to anime and analysis. More fun than you might think. |

Next: Natsume in the city???? <3 Wahh, that was a great episode. Love Natsume. By the way, if Reiko is his grandmother, who's the grandfather and which was her child? (Natsume's dad or mom?) |

The grandfather hasn't been revealed in the manga, I think, but Natsume's mother is Reiko's daughter. His mother never knew Reiko either, she died when his mother was very young. |

le sigh. ;_; So beautiful and heartwarming like many said before me. I really can't get enough of this haha... (close to tears with this episode) It never fails to cheer me up no matter how low I am. I love how Natsume is developing. He will become a very strong and kind-hearted, understanding man later. (Not that he already is xD; ) Let me love and hug you Natsuumeee ;3; |

I'm pretty sure Natsume's father is Reiko's son! Natsume said that "Reiko keeps the name of "Natsume" all her life", so she didn't get married. If she had a daughter (Takashi's mother) who get married (if she didn't Natsume should have tell/know it!), since it's Takashi's father who brings up his son (if they didn't get married, it's stange, at least in rural Japan 15 years ago!), Takashi will not have the family name "Natsume", or his father's family name was also "Natsume" but his will be even more strange! So for me from the beginning Reiko's child was Takashi's father! |

^ he has a point. We've also got the startling resemblance to Natsume which is generally a pretty massive give away, considering Natsume regularly gets mistaken for Reiko. |

Looks like all the character in the anime were drawn a little different which make me think that Natsume had gotten a little older. ![]() |

So for me from the beginning Reiko's child was Takashi's father! Nevertheless it's incorrect. In the manga it is revealed that Takashi's mother is Reiko's daughter. More precisely it is revealed in the second Matoba arc, where Matoba tries to get some information about Reiko from Takashi. “All the evidence shows that God was actually quite a gambler, and the universe is a great casino, where dice are thrown, and roulette wheels spin on every occasion.” - Stephen Hawking |
