Bad? This was some high-class doggy doo under your shoe. Worst bloody thing I saw at the time. Hated it.

This is statistically the worst-ranked animé on myanimelist right now. I kind of want to watch it just because of that.

That was just... freaking great. I think it sets a new record for cliches-per-minute. No, a new scale is needed... cliches-per-second, probably. Incredible that someone actually animated this.

Worst use of classical music I've ever heard. It was all easily recognizable stuff - it sounded like they took recorded tracks from one of those pre-programmed keyboards. I burst out laughing when they played Moonlight Sonata for the final battle. Absolutely hilarious.

And the animation, oh my. Some of the angles are so confusing... The alien is standing like... 20 feet away from the girls, and then we get a zoomed in shot of his hand, and somehow he's holding her by her ankle. And did it not look like that "lethal shot" that took down the alien actually missed? I swear it didn't hit him, yet he dropped. The character's faces show almost no emotion during the entire show. I don't think their eyes changed at all.

Then there's the fact that the enemies are so ridiculous. At the beginning when they raise their hands to attack... looks like it came right out of Michal Jackson's Thriller. The last enemy holds onto the girls' necks/ankles for like... 2 minutes strait, doing nothing until someone shoots him. And the girls' resistance is so feeble - thought it was great when one of them... knocked on him? And then she kicks at him like her legs are made of cement. The alien's final line, too, "Always remember, we are the earthlings!" or something like that.

There's so much to make fun of - I haven't even covered 1/4th of it. This is the most unintentionally hilarious thing I've ever seen. The first episode of Haruhi was more believable with Kyon's constant cynicism.

There is, however, shaky camera effects.

Okay. I'm a glutton for punishment. I have not seen this anime; and I would like to, at the very least so I could rant like everyone here is about this series(?).
I know that it must be something if there's shows out there that suck and are getting 9's and 10's and yet this one's getting what, 4 overall?

But whatever, I for sure though, am interested just about how crappy this show can get xD it's on my To-Watch.

I watched it expecting camp. And I got some camp, but most of it was boring, dredging and insulting. Not the worst I've seen though, Moekkan is far more atrocious.

What are you talking about! This show rules! Mars of Destruction is tottally one of my all time favorite animes. i think all those u are messed up in the head!
the art and camera angles are buetiflul!!! this is like the deepest story ever and it made me cry. i dunno whats better special a class, grenadier, moekkan, or this lol. mod is the best 10/10

You guys really made it sound like this was going to be bad. I quite enjoyed the random twist at the very end of this confusing anime. Too bad it didn't really make much sense. If humans are the people from Mars that came to Earth and killed off everyone already living on Earth (the Ancients), where the fuck have the Ancients been for the past thousands of years?


I like how they said that the group had people with separate talents, but all those bitches ever did was shoot their guns.
