According to Cinema Today, the two-week boxoffice income of Karigurashi no Arrietty (The Secret World of Arriety) in North America reached $15.2 million on March 3rd. It surpassed Ponyo's record of $15 million in 2009 and established the new boxoffice record for Studio Ghibli's films shown in North America. Ghibli's other film Kokurikozaka Kara has won the 35th Japan Academy Prize Award for Best Animation Film. K-On! good for ghibli just dont like american naming sence for some films although names are important they just simplify it too much id prefer the borrower arriety xD but it was a great film I signed my screen and now its all smeary "When you meet your God tell him to leave me alone." check out my bloghttp://corpse69.wordpress.com/ fix MAL already |

I also wasn't impressed with it, so it is a bit of a shock to hear how successful it's doing here. I thought kids might find it 'lame'. . |

I might watch this, after all FOX News was bashing this movie for trying to indoctrinate children. |
